Here at The Rothay Garth Ambleside Bed and Breakfast we pride ourselves on our excellent breakfast! Hot drinks available include. Tea, Coffee, Earl Grey, Herbal & Fruit, decaffeinated varieties and Fair Trade Hot chocolate. Consisting of Windermere Free Range Egg of choice, Bacon, Richard Woodall Cumberland sausage, Tomato, Mushrooms, Hash Brown, Black Pudding and Beans!
Here at The Rothay Garth Ambleside Bed and Breakfast we have a large, comfortable lounge for you to relax in with stunning views of the Ambleside fells, a choice of daily papers, a selection of local interest books and magazines or, if you prefer, you can simply doze off in front of our lovely open fire!

This B&B is just lovely. Recently stayed here for 2 nights over August bank holiday.
The staff are so friendly and nothing is to much for them, very accommodating. The rooms are nice and have all the amenities you need for a stop over. (Comfy ned, tv, shower etc.)
The breakfast is superby cooked, you get a choice of full English or a smaller plate of eggs on toast etc. Juice,cereals and fruit are on the side for you to help yourself.

Stayed here 3 nights for a break away. Lovely accommodation and the bed was so comfy it was hard to get up in the morning. Breakfast was superb, and for a fried breakfast it was very light and not at all greasy. Owner was very nice. My only issue would be the shower as it was electric and not at all powerful so it feels like a longer than normal shower, especially for the time it takes to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. Would definitely stay here again though as everything else was fantastic.
