Pros: Building is pretty. Reception area and dining area are well decorated and look very nice. The service from the staff I dealt with was excellent, all very polite and friendly. Everything was scrupulously clean with good Covid rule adherence. Breakfast was superb, with great choice, everything tasted great, and again the staff on hand were friendly and helpful. Shower was very good.
Cons: The bedroom I was in was an unexpected let down. All clean but very dated, cheap furniture. The TV was so small I couldn't read the news headlines from the bed. If it had been in a closer position that might

I think there’s different levels of rooms, as the room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and was lovely. We did go for the upgraded double room rather than the standard though so we’d recommend doing that (only going by other reviews here).
Food was decent too, I had the cottage pie - loads of meat and really tasty. It does depend on the chef though according to one of the other guests that was staying there long term.
Our stay was great and we’ll be back again.

We had a wake there and a buffet for 31 people which cost £1354. The buffet was very poor and I imagine could have been put together for less than £200. Two of us stayed in the hotel, the rooms were not very clean, we didnt take our shoes off as the carpet was so dirty. Very very disappointed and would definitely never go again.

Staff really go out of their way to help you and are super friendly.
All the important bits were clean like the bed and (majority) of the bathroom. The place just needs some love and attention to detail.
Breakfast was basic, lounge areas are mostly clean (again attention to detail, see wall light pic).
Walls in the rooms are paper thin you can hear everything...
Loads of free parking and v close to the towns restaurants.
We stayed for work purposes so it fulfilled our requirements, wouldn't stay here for any other reason with my own money...

Oh dear. It was just about ok. Unwelcoming receptionist. Extremely cold room until we specifically asked for the heating to be put on, on a markedly cold day. Average dull room, very long way back on hotel up and down many flights of stairs. Be specific if you are not easily mobile The bathroom was fine save no portable soap, just plastic bottles screwed to the wall. Meaning you could get clean if showering, but if you had a bath it was just yourself and the water. We hadn't booked breakfast, were never asked if we'd like it and were so disheartened by then we decided to quit whilst only a bit

I stayed here for 1 night and it was lovely. Lovely location, building, accommodation, staff, everything. I look forward for a chance to come back.
My only constructive feedback would be that the breakfast was not the best - as a veggie my options were limited on the menu which is fine, but the serving sizes were very small and not adjusted to the fewer items I were able to pick.
