Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the world and requires a lot of respect and dedication. In its first season alone members of the Amateur Gym have entered 44 contests and winning 40 of them. Whether you want to keep fit or become an amateur boxer Clearys Boxing Gym's doors are open. We are affiliated to the Amateur Boxing Association and all our Coaches are fully CRB checked.

Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the world and requires a lot of respect and dedication. It is one of the only sports where every one is equal, It doesn't matter how big or small you are, you will only ever have a contest with someone who is equal in size and experience. Boxing is a great way to keep fit and boxers, amateur and professional, are well known for being some of the fittest athletes in the world.
I started boxing in the late 80's but it was Jack and Bet Turpin and their stories of Randolph, Jack and Dick that were a true inspiration and what ultimately led me to pursue boxing further. I have learned a lot throughout my boxing career, in particularly from Legendary coach, Brendan Ingle (MBE), and his two sons, Dominc and John, from when I trained in Sheffield along side some of the best boxers and coaches in the world.
