Single vision lenses Most common in use with clients below 40-45 years of age, these tend to be the standard type of lens fitted. Bifocal lenses tend to be supplied to older clients who require a single solution for both close work and distance. Progressive lenses are a very sophisticated lens type which combines near and distance vision requirements into a single lens (with no visible line).
As a parent, you may wonder if your child has a vision problem or whether your child is old enough to have their eyes examined. Experts say 5 percent-10 percent of pre-schoolers and 25 percent of school-aged children have vision problems. Early identification of a child's vision problem is crucial because, if left untreated, some childhood vision problems can cause permanent vision loss.
Many eye problems develop or worsen with age, so reaching the 40 is a good time to make eye health a priority by having regular eye examinations. Most adults should have an eye examination every two years but the Optometrist may advise testing more often depending on individual circumstances. Age-related macular degeneration - or AMD - damages then destroys central vision.
An Eye Examination is a series of tests done to check your vision and the health of your eyes. First, you will be asked if you are having any eye or vision problems. You will be asked to describe these problems, how long you have had them, and any factors that have made them better or worse. Your history of glasses or contact lenses will also be reviewed.

Amazing experience! By far the best experience I have had in an optician, having used mainly the chain ones before like specsavers, vision express etc.
I called up & was fitted in for an eye examination on the same day. Had a great check up & was given good advice in regards to my specs & contact lenses. They also offered to tighten my specs & gave them a clean.
They then advised me on my options & I decided to look for a new pair of specs. They had a great selection & explained everything very well. I found a pair I liked & decided to order them. I was told they would take 1 week to be ready

I love local and popped in to this opticians to have my sunglasses tightened. The guy behind the counter said no problem. He started to tighten them abd I guess because he didn’t know what he was doing he went to far and the whole frame of the glasses cracked. My beautiful brand new shades destroyed in seconds. I couldn’t believe it. He asked for the opportunity to repair them, I didn’t know how he was going to attempt this but I said sure in hope. When I came back later that day to pick them up I was again in more shock. They had been glued! Not only glued but a black permanent marker was

This is the best opticians to get your eyes tested at. They provide a free eye test and have a wide range of frames to choose from. I especially love their Versace frames. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful. They always book me in on time and pick up my calls. I highly recommend iLife Opticians!

I’ve used this opticians for just over two years now and I am always amazed at the level of customer service. They are absolutely brilliant and very professional. They have a wide range of glasses and some of the best sunglasses around. There lenses are very high quality and seem to last forever. Would definitely recommend to all
