Antony McBride set up in business as a result of a personal desire to make a difference to the people of Harrogate in their time of need. We are a relatively young business, established in 2009 with an ethos of never becoming complacent about the privilege of helping local families every day. We are modern in our outlook with a commitment to providing the most modern facilities and the highest standards.

North Yorkshire County Council -Find information to help you register a death and book an appointment online. Here is a guide detailing what you will need to do when someone dies, as there are many decisions and arrangements to be made. For example, you will have to get a Medical Certificate showing the cause of death, you will then need to make an appointment to register the death, contact a funeral director to make arrangements for the funeral.
We will explain the various fees and charges involved. Funeral arrangements are a matter of personal wishes and choice therefore the best way to obtain an estimate is by discussion with your Funeral Director. We will not rush you into making decisions. Removal of Deceased, Dressing, and Care of Deceased whilst in our care including use of viewing room.
When someone dies, it can be difficult to know what steps need to be taken, particularly if it is unexpected. If the person dies in hospital or at a hospice or care home, then staff there will know exactly what needs to be done and can guide you on anything you need to do. If the death occurs at home, then the first step that needs to happen is for the doctor to be called to confirm and certify the death.

My wife and I wanted to thank Antony of McBride & Sons for all his hard work in arranging a truly beautiful service for my mother-in-law. Paster Jim was so incredibly kind. His tender and heartfelt words were beautifully delivered. I can’t say enough positive things about the service really, even during these times with international travel restrictions in place. The overall experience including the video feed from the chapel could not have been better without being there; Antony worked with the folks at Obitus to answer all of our questions.
