I would like to thank the team for their hard work to get the course into such great condition and also the members & visitors who have taken the time to compliment the course to myself or the team, this is very much appreciated! The greens have been pencil tinned & regularly verti cut this month and the height is currently at 3 mm.
Girls Golf Rocks encourages beginner girls aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way. The programme runs nationally across England and we have nearly 200 host clubs/facilities taking part. Our clubs aim to create an environment where girls feel comfortable and confident to join in the initial sessions and then offers a clear pathway for them to continue their participation.
We are proud to be recognised as a Sun Protection Accredited club, having signed up to the Slip! Slap! Swing! sun protection campaign for golf. This summer, as part of our overall duty of care, we will be raising awareness of sun protection, offering advice on how to reduce the risk of skin cancer to all our members and staff.
We have just received our letter from England Golf CEO Jeremy Tomlinson and are one of the first clubs in Cornwall to of completed our Women in Golf Charter Certificate! I was personally delighted to read the commitments that you have made as part of your contribution to the delivery of the Women and Girls Charter.
Formed in 1986 at The St Austell Railway Club by a copper, a binman and a bandit engineer following a late - night drinking session, the Railway Children Golf Society. The golf course is one of the best in the area and is kept in excellent condition by a very experienced team of Greenkeepers. We need an apprentice greenkeeper to.

Very disappointed to enter the well stocked Pro Shop to find 2 men in there not wearing masks engaged in discussion with a staff member (who was wearing one). He didn’t ask them to wear masks. We were going to play the course a couple of times this week but have decided against it because of this. We, in the South West, need to continue to be vigilant to protect our area and No mask- No entry needs to be enforced by businesses.
