Cedar Grove is proud as a practice of our involvement with our local community, and our veterinary service to local and national animal charities. In conjunction with Belfast and Castlereagh Borough Councils, Cats Protection & Dogs Trust we offer our support and advice at a series of "Park Events" we run at Shaw's Bridge and Ormeau Park.
We provide help and advice on all aspects of pet care as well as promoting responsible pet ownership, and the charity neutering campaigns. We reach out to children in our community through our popular Vet visit to schools. Actively promoting responsible pet ownership to all ages of children through our fun and interactive sessions, it helps children realise the commitment involved in owning a pet.

Services
Your pet's condition is steady and has not shown any recent increase in symptoms or signs of ill health. Repeat medications are dispensed at the vets' discretion and cannot be prescribed without a vet's authorisation. Your pet must be examined and assessed by one of our veterinary surgeons. We usually set this at every 6 months, but this will vary with an individual's health and progress.
In the event of an emergency with your pet please come to the surgery immediately during normal opening times. We will deal with you as a priority. In these circumstances it would be ideal if you could phone ahead and let us know the details so as we can be prepared for your arrival. If your pet has an emergency during our normal opening hours, please call the practice and we will advise you what to do next.
The vast majority of medications for your pets can be provided at the time of examination or within a short period of receiving a request, so that your pet can benefit as soon as possible. We have a system of interlinked pharmacies, and a 3 times a week deliveries from our wholesalers, so if an item is not on site, we can usually source it rapidly.
We run a series of clinics to help you with continued support for you and your pet. Please contact the practice and ask to see the practice nurse regarding any of the following. As a practice we are extremely proud of our fantastic Nursing Team at Cedar Grove. If you would like to speak to or come in and see our clinical nursing team with your pet then please get in touch via reception or our online booking system.
On your visits we check that your puppies and kitten are fit and healthy, settling in well, that their diet is all good, and that you know how to care for them. We answer any questions you still have, making sure you are confident with your new pet. This can be quite daunting for a new puppy or kitten, and for yourself if you have never previously owned a pet.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability
My family and I have brought our pets here for over 30 years and we would always recommend cedar grove. If any of our pets have been unwell the practice have always exceeded our expectations by giving them amazing care and aftercare. All the vets are brilliant and they really care about every animal they see.

Positive: Responsiveness
Have been with Cedar Grove from 2003 when I got my first dog and wouldnt really go anywhere else because of the excellent care my dogs have always received. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff and neither is getting appointments when you need one. An excellent practice with a great team of staff and facilities.

Well for a vet it's 5star just for normal stuff. Unfortunately they don't have a averian vet their so I was disappointed about that. Hence only 3stars.on phone I clearly asked certain things to be done beak nails clipped and wings clipped which means hair cut for birds via cut 5 outer feathers from each wing. They still fly but not far hence can be left out of cadge all day. Feathers grow back just like hair dose. I told long wait for appointment as that's earlyest date averian vet can come to their practice. OK accept appointment but was no averian vet and told its ileagal to cut birds flight

Brought my wee mouse round, they said they usually see dogs and cats but would gladly see him. The social distancing measures were perfect and made me feel comfortable and safe. The vet was brilliant, really welcoming and friendly. She took him in for 25 minutes and even weighed him (36g! Cute!) so that I could get the appropriate medication. The information was clear and concise. I followed all the advice to get him better settled in our new house as he was stressed. The change in him has been monumental, he's back to himself, interested in the things he used to enjoy and all his fur has grown
