Baberton Golf Club
Our beautiful, yet challenging, 18 hole, par 70 course lies on gently undulating terrain with spectacular views in all directions making it one of Edinburgh's best golf courses. Our modern clubhouse provides a wide range of facilities, and offers views across our James Braid designed layout, making it the perfect place to relax with a meal or a drink before or after a round.
Services
Home of the first steel-shafted clubs in the world. In 1890, a group of influential residents of Colinton and Juniper Green had a nine hole course laid out at Torphin Hill where they played for two seasons. Four of the group, holidaying at Lundin Links, after the day's play retired to a local hostelry.
A short par 4 to get underway. A local rule (for the safety of our neighbours) prevents going for the green off the tee, the sensible play is a lay-up short of the fairway bunkers which will leave only a short approach. A par 5 that usually plays into the wind, making it only reachable in two for the longer hitters.
Baberton GC is pleased to welcome visitors back to our club. We welcome visitors of all ages, experience or ability, whether as an individual or visiting societies. We aim to provide a first class, affordable golf experience and a comfortable and relaxing clubhouse, with excellent catering and refreshments, so that you will feel that you have had a truly memorable day.
Our secluded new clubhouse, opened in 2013 by Sky Sports commentator and Baberton member, Ewen Murray, provides a warm welcoming atmosphere with freshly prepared meals, snacks and a comprehensive choice of beers, wines and spirits. With panoramic views of the course, it is an ideal place to relax after your round of golf.
Our new clubhouse opened in 2013 and provides extensive and modern facilities. The main lounge area of the clubhouse provides fantasic views and an excellent place to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or alcoholic drink after your round of golf. Add a snack or arrange with Adam Shanks for a more comprehensive meal.

Really enjoyed this Club. Course quite quirky undulating/hilly but not particularly tiring (this from someone with bad knees) I would certainly play it again. Excellent clubhouse and food was first class as was the service.

Attended an event there on a glorious spring day. The building is new, clean and lovely views on to the fairways from the club house were a delight.
Staff were friendly and we were served a nice spread of sandwiches, pies and other titbits. Never played golf, but if I were to, I'd do it there.
