Services
The well appointed Clubhouse was refurbished in 2020. It is a modern decorated facility with a wood panelled lounge with an open fireplace and another more extensive lounge with slide panel walls that allows for various sizes of functions, no matter how large or small. The patios and balconies are south-facing and overlook the 18th fairway, a perfect place to finish your round or a stunning location to meet up with friends after work.
In order for all to enjoy the Mortonhall Experience, and to maintain the traditions of our Club and the game of golf, we ask all our members and guests to adhere to our Club dress regulations which are detailed on the notices in Pro shop and in the Locker Rooms.
Our members and guests are welcome to use devices to access the public wifi throughout the Clubhouse but we would ask that they are engaged in silent mode and not used for telephone calls or the taking of photographs.Players on the course are expected to maintain a high standard of dress and are required to wear smart conventional golfing attire with spike or dimple soled golf shoes.

Keep your first tee shot of the day out of the woods. You are left with an uphill second shot, but beware of the pin position as there are about three clubs difference from the front to the back of the green. Take a par and walk on. From a elevated tee you get a great view of the hole, for the longer hitters then a tee shot straight over the three bunkers is the play, leaving a short iron to the green.
At Mortonhall, warm up for your game using the practice facilities on site. We have three, 40 foot long, nets located near the 1st tee where you can hit full shots. The putting green situated behind the clubhouse, near the 18th green, is used for putting practice only and the larger putting green located in front of the Pro Shop can be used for putting and chipping practice.
Mortonhall Golf Club has an active membership of gentlemen, ladies and junior sections with a number of membership categories available to suit your needs, including full, 5-day and social. If you would like to know more about becoming a member and which category would be the best for you, please get in touch and we can talk you through the options.

Want a Scottish golf experience that's 3 Miles from downtown Edinburgh? This is the spot. Hilly, great views, tranquil and challenging - this course has it all. My son and I played a round walking in under 3.5 hours with rental clubs and walked away totally satisfied. At 6,600 yards from the tips and great variations in the holes (and did I mention fantastic views?), this course delivered without having to travel great distances. I am an under 10 handicap and it delivered interest.
