From its origins as a small sheet metal workshop in Cowdenbeath, James C Gillespie (Engineering) Limited has grown into one of Scotland's leading suppliers of components and sheet metal fabrications. Originally started by James C Gillespie in Cowdenbeath in the late 1950's the business had its formative years in Cowdenbeath before moving to a custom built, 20,000 sq ft facility in Kirkcaldy in 1990.
Sheet metal fabrication is the process of turning flat sheets of steel or aluminium into metal structures or products, by cutting, punching, folding and assembling. Metal laser cutting technology at James C Gillespie offers some of the most innovative, accurate and precise cutting techniques available in the industry today.
