I'm an experienced person-centred counsellor, trained at Masters level, who has worked successfully with a variety of people of different backgrounds and ages, and with a wide range of issues and concerns. Some of the issues I've worked with include: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bipolar disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and bereavement.

I also work with children and young people, giving them a safe and confidential space to explore their concerns. Hopefully, through looking through my website you'll get a feel for how I work, and what I'm like as a person. Choosing a counsellor is a very personal thing, and it's important to get the right fit; you need to feel comfortable and safe in order to open up about things that are troubling you.
Services
I trained as a counsellor at Masters level at the University of Brighton; I qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling in 2007. My work remains fully rooted in the person centred approach, as I continually see how effective this approach can be with people. I am a member of the Person Centred Association (TPCA).
Most of us experience times in our lives when we feel low, worried or distressed. This could be because of specific difficulties, such as anxiety or bereavement, or it could be a general sense of feeling 'down', and being unsure as to the reason why. Counselling offers the opportunity to explore these concerns in a confidential, non-judgemental setting, with someone who is trained to help.
I have a sliding scale for fees, depending on individual circumstances. I am happy to work within the fee range - you decide what feels manageable for you to pay within this range. I ask for bank transfer payments for telephone and video sessions (payable before the session). If you're not able to make it to a session, and need to cancel, I ask for as much notice as possible.
