Harlequin Childcare welcomes you and your child to a safe and stimulating environment where exploration, enquiry and discovery occur continually throughout their day, nurtured by our genuinely child-led ethos. Our heuristic approach to activities and experiences allows each child to explore objects from the "real" world, for example using natural objects which are found in every home to develop hand-eye coordination and sensory stimulation.

We have a large team of qualified and trainee Early Years Practitioners who are dedicated team to working with children, supporting their learning and development in a safe and secure environment. At Harlequin Childcare we have designed the rooms to be light, airy and spacious whilst still allowing for the homely environment. Where appropriate the rooms are open plan, so that each child is comfortable in every room and with all team members. Each child's work is displayed in many different ways in the rooms and we invite you to celebrate their achievements with us to encourage their pride in all that they do.
Willow is home to our youngest children and their routine follows your routine at home. Your baby is expertly cared for by dedicated practitioners who specialise in working with Under Twos, with every moment tailored to the individual care and nurture of your child. We provide a gentle, loving, homely environment in which your baby will thrive.
Toddlers progress through three rooms as they develop, starting in Birch room, then Cedar and on to Maple. Each area is tailored to provide relevant experiences in a homely setting, to satisfy their ever-increasing thirst for learning about their world. Older babies move from Willow or join directly into Birch, our young toddler room, when they are developmentally ready.

My daughter has been attending Harlequins for almost 5 months now and we are so pleased with how easily she's settled in. The care she receives from the staff is outstanding and we have always felt comfortable leaving her there. Every baby is treated as an individual and the staff are very in-tune with each child's individual needs and personalities. The monthly newsletters with photos emailed to us is lovely and really helps us feel like we can enjoy experiences with her, as working parents it's small touches like this that make such a difference.
