Alan Richard Smith born in 1928 and started his career in the watch and jewellery business as an apprentice watch repairer. He went on to work for services watch company after his apprenticeship and with hard work and determination, he went from a bench repairer to become foreman.
After several years, he wanted to branch out and start his own business, so he started by becoming a trade watch repairer from home and he went from 0 to over 130 trade customers.This enabled him to take on other watch repairers to handle the volume of work as back then quartz watches had not even been invented, so everything was mechanical.
