We have been at The Cyclist on a Friday night after couple of months wanting to visit. The restaurant was really busy (recommend booking for the weekend) and unfortunately a bit too noisy for my tastes. Anyway, we enjoyed a very nice meal and good wine. I had a nourishment bowl and was only a bit disappointed by my Cheakpeas which had the look and taste of 60p canned ones. A part from that, staff was very friendly and helpful. Price expected but not quite cheap. A bit surprised not much of the interior recalled cycles or cycling , but overall a nice setting.

Had a delicious Sunday roast at the Cyclist! Really enjoyed our visit, had the veggie roast and pork belly. Was pleasantly surprised to be offered the option between veggie or vegan as often pubs now just cater to vegan and I miss out on Yorkshire puds! The cauliflower cheese was also delicious. Would really recommend, the pub has beautiful decor and staff all really friendly.

Lovely venue with a great vibe. We had lunch and some drinks there on a Saturday and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The drinks are quite pricey but the cocktails are really good. I had the smash burger which was ok but nothing special really for the price. The burger was cold and slightly overdone for my liking - £14.50 which I thought was overpriced for what it was. Would come back again to see what the rest of the menu is like though :)

Hi all, I sent this to the Cyclist over messenger but never got a response.
“Hi guys, was there something wrong on the 6th of August? My family went for lunch service and were left waiting for service at the table for about 15 minutes, ignored at the bar and when the food arrived it was cold and almost raw. Didn’t say anything at the time as I’d… said it was my favourite local pub and was embarrassed as my family were visiting from overseas. It really was that poor that I’d rather check you’re okay than give an honest review.”
Normally service and food

Its very rare when hospitality meets expectations especially when you have a baby with you. But for the first time I'm givinig 5 stars without even consideringthe food. We were offered water, staff was tentative and gave us enough time and very accommodating.
On to food ,the cyclist offers a standard menu of brunch and lunch with good healthy abd vegetarian options. We ordered the full English , eggs benedict (ham) and nutrients bowl (vegetarian) all dishes was well made and absolutely delicious and justifies the price. The breakfast mushroom and full on sausage was the highlight just enough snap
