At Angela Elizabeth nursery we provide a caring, safe environment which children will find stimulating, challenging and where they will have fun. They are supported to be creative, foster enquiring minds and learn to care for others and their environment. Situated in the village of Wilkieston just off the main A71 road, a few miles from both Edinburgh and Livingston makes it easily accessible to all.
The nursery which is registered with the Care Commission, is West Lothians longest established. Our door is always open for advice and to answer questions. We encourage suggestions from parents as to how we may improve our service. We aim to provide an all round service to families - parents and children.

Services
Founded in 1987, THE ANGELA ELIZABETH NURSERY is West Lothian's longest established children's nursery. Situated in the semi-rural village of Wilkieston it is easily accessible to both Edinburgh and Livingston. The nursery is located in the original school building which was built by local tradesmen around 200 years ago.
Our staff have been carefully chosen for their skill, dedication and love of children, as well as their qualifications. Staff meet the training requirements for their individual roles as specified by Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). We have a very low staff turnover which ensures continuity, allowing us to form great relationships with the children and their families.
We recognise that you as parents, are your child's primary educator and have a vital role to play in your child's life both at home and in the nursery. By sharing this role with you we can make decisions together that provide your child with the best start in life. Communication between staff and parents is of prime importance and we endeavour to maintain a two-way channel between home and nursery.
Our activity programme is designed to reflect birth to 3 framework and Curriculum for Excellence. Programmes allow for a balance of play and rest so that the children gain the maximum benefit from their time at nursery. In addition we ensure a balance of adult led and child centred activities, allowing the children to learn at their own pace.
