Services
I run a busy and diverse private practice helping clients with a large range of challenges. Grief, fear, anxiety, depression, breakdown of relationships, domestic abuse and historical sexual abuse. In my past, I have set up and run a government funded counselling service for the hardest to reach ethnic minorities of the inner city of Nottingham.
I am based in the village of Shipley, Derbyshire. I am two miles from the train station and on a very regular bus route. Within easy reach of both Derby and Nottingham University and there is ample car parking on site. As a qualified supervisor of many years experience, I can offer you supervision that will support you in your counselling.
I will be happy to offer my skills to all couples, including same sex partners, to help you both through this difficult time in your relationship. Whilst in therapy, you will get the chance to speak of your feelings for each other and your feelings about your relationship. By coming to see me, you will be taking very important steps that can help to bring about reconciliation between you.
I offer emotional and culturally appropriate support for women from an ethically diverse background on these and many other issues. I have years of experience in helping women from diverse cultures who are unhappy and wish to change or come to terms with what is happening in their lives. I also have expertise in counselling women wishing to seek asylum in Britain after their marriage breaks down.
Nicola came highly recommended by a number of her fellow counsellors. A very warm and welcoming person who was flexible to meet my requirements of a person centred counsellor. Our work together has been invaluable and I would certainly recommend her for all of your therapeutic needs. I remember very well the day I sat down in front of my computer and searched for counselling.
