I am a qualified counsellor experienced in working with people aged 18 to 80+. If you're feeling distressed, or are struggling to cope, counselling can help you to build on your personal strengths and find new understanding and ways forward. There is a good chance of success - studies show that 8/10 people seeing their GP for depression/anxiety are better off after therapy than those who don't have therapy1.
I trained as a counsellor after many years experience working in planning and service development with a variety of public sector organisations. I have experience with the Age UK (Nottingham and Nottinghamshire) Counselling Service and with the YMCA, where I worked with their Nottingham hostel residents.

Services
My qualifications include an MA (2013) in Counselling (with distinction) and first class BA (Honours) in Humanistic Counselling Practice (2010), from the University of Nottingham. The core of my therapeutic approach is person-centred, creating an empathic, non-judgmental and genuine therapeutic relationship, where you will feel enabled to find new insights and creative options for change.
