From the first seed of an idea, Country Kids would only be established if it was going to be the best day nursery in the area. Seaview Farm had provided Ian with such a privileged childhood, playing outdoors in idyllic surroundings and he wanted to share this experience with the new generation. From the outset it was important that we nurtured the children's interest in the farm.
We did not envisage how facinated the children would be, but they love to see 'Farmer Ian' in his tractor and will ask him daily "what are you doing Farmer Ian?". Farmer Ian has gripped the children's imaginations and everyone in a red tractor has become him, even on holidays in Spain!

The success of Country Kids is due to the excellent staff and parent relationships that are developed. The children settle very quickly due to the staff working closely with the parents following home routines. She has gained a wide range of professional experience of working with children and has gained great respect from staff and parents alike.
Shortly before your child is due to start at Country Kids, we will contact you to discuss the settling-in period. Although some children are quite happy to start at nursery, most need comfort and reassurance and we recommend that a parent or other carer bring them to Country Kids for short periods prior to their official start so that they can get to know the staff and become comfortable with the environment.
Parents are asked to bring a packet of nappies to the nursery for their child. If they want any specific nappy cream to be used they must provide a jar clearly labelled with their child name. All children should have a spare change of clothes that stay at the nursery in case of an accident. If your child has an accident and there is no change of clothes staff will ring the emergency contact numbers requesting a change of clothes.
At Country Kids the food is not overlooked. Our creative onsite cook prepares a two course nutritious homemade lunch and light tea. In addition breakfast and morning and afternoon snacks are provided. All food uses fresh fruit andseasonal homegrown farm vegetables and ingredients with no unnecessary additives.
Security at the Country Kids Day Nursery is paramount. The building has a secure entrance and all visitors and parents have to ring a bell for access. We have an extensive CCTV system in place inside and out which records all activities in all rooms throughout the nursery.
At Country Kids we are committed to creating a safe environment for children, which is free from abuse and where any suspicion of abuse is dealt with promptly and appropriately.We will comply with the Health and Social services Guidelines on Child Protection and Elaine, our manager will deal with child protection issues in our setting.
