Trinity Nursery School
We, the staff of Trinity Nursery School, aim to provide, in partnership with parents, a safe, secure environment wherein the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of children will be met. We strive to foster positive attitudes towards learning through engagement in creative play and opportunities designed to stimulate interest and imagination.

By celebrating the individuality of every child and simultaneously recognising their differing needs, we intend to create a nurturing educational context within which all children may achieve their full potential.
Services
It was originally built as a primary school and converted into a large two unit nursery school, in which 52 children attend on a full-time basis. The school boasts a bright, attractive building which has a comprehensive and stimulating range of resources and equipment. Outdoors there are four play areas - the main playgrounds have soft surfaces and includes a shuttered area which allows the children access to physical play, even in wet weather.
The Board of Governors draws up the admissions criteria and delegates to an Admissions Sub-Committee, which includes the Principal, the responsibility for applying these criteria/sub criteria. During the admissions procedure when applying the criteria punctual applications will be considered before late applications are considered.
School begins at 8.45 am each morning when the children arrive to a classroom filled with an array of exciting activities, from sand and water, to crafts and painting, from imaginative play and construction play, to jigsaws and puppets. The children enjoy free play throughout the morning and also have the opportunity for prolonged outdoor and physical play in a variety of our playgrounds and garden areas.
The Report can be viewed here. You will see our Green Flag proudly flying in the grounds of the Nursery. We have successfully received this award every year since. The children were delighted to be chosen to help launch the Healthy Action Heros initiative and got to meet two very special puppets, Mambo and Jazz.
In the nursery the children will learn through play in a carefully structured programme, suitable to their age and stage of development. We aim to provide a happy and secure environment where the child will experience success and have fun while learning many new concepts. Several examples from the six Areas of Learning are constantly available to the children during the session.
