As a leading nursery, based in Cowbridge and not far from Bridgend, we believe that learning through fun and adventure is great for children. Thank you to Leean, who calmed my anxiety in the early ears and helped my little boy settle in, Eliza who has the best diplomatic skills for 'spinning' any bad day into a positive, Natalie who makes my little boy happy and his first love.
Aimee, who will always be 'his Aimee'. Here's to the Fun Bus, afternoons at nursery, holiday club. A HUGE thank you for being an amazing support to our little girl. You have nurtured her since 9 months old until now. She has always been happy to spend a day with you and she has learnt and experienced so much.

Services
At Fun Foundations Day Nursery we strongly believe in a child-centred curriculum, this is why we use 'The Foundation Phase' framework to guide the development of routines and activities. We are focused on the individual and endeavour to cater for each individual's needs taking a holistic approach to care and education.
We currently collect from, and take to, four local schools. These include Y Bont Faen, Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, St. Illtyd, Ysgol Y Ddraig, Llansannor, St Davids CIW, Llanfair and Llangan. There are a number of different requirements depending on the individuals childcare needs so we advise that all parents discuss their requests with one of the nursery management team.
Children are collected using nursery transport and return to the After School club to complete home work and have their tea in a relaxed environment with familiar staff. The club is very small and only has space for 15 children. The aim is to provide peace of mind for parents that the children are cared for after a long day in school in familiar and relaxed surroundings.
We currently collect children aged 3 - 12 years from St Illtyd Primary School and take them to the Western Vale Integrated Children's Centre, which is the building attached to the school. The aim is to provide peace of mind for parents that the children are cared for after a long day in school in familiar and relaxed surroundings.
We aim to provide a healthy, nutritious, balanced diet. This also has to be appealing to the children in order to encourage them to try new foods and eat their meals! Susan, the Nursery Cook, has achieved this with the creation of a four-week, seasonal menu. The children have had an input with the menu through helping the team plant the vegetable and herb gardens and collecting produce to take to the kitchen to cook.

All three of our children have attended Fun Foundations and I can't recommend this Nursery highly enough. Our children have enjoyed their time and, as parents, we have felt totally confident in the care provided. Many of the staff have been there since our eldest started in 2014 which is lovely. Food being freshly prepared and cooked on site is especially appreciated. Thoroughly recommended.

My children attend Fun Foundations Day Nursery and I would highly recommend the centre. The supportive staff, layout of the centre and structured daily routine has enabled my children to develop and enhance not only their learning, but an understanding of the world around them. Furthermore, the happy, safe and secure environment enables my children to maximise their experiences through the opportunities provided, whilst developing their creative skills and independence.

We love Fun Foundations. Both my little girl and little boy attend and are in different age groups. The staff are lovely and it is wonderful to see the bond my children have with them. The children are always doing something fun and interesting, and I can see a lot of time and thought goes into planning exciting activities that are also educational. We are lucky to have this lovely nursery.

My Son has been going to Fund Foundations since he was 10 months old. He's due to go public nursery in September but has done so well in Fun Foundations we have decided to keep him there for another year. He likes going to nursery and we get daily feedback on what he's been doing and updates when he's done something new. Would definitely recommend Fun Foundations to anyone who wants to give there child a good start at education.

When looking for a suitable Nursery to place our ten month old, and after visiting several nursery settings, Fun Foundations offered the perfect solution. All staff were welcoming; kind and patient and we felt confident that our child would be nurtured and her needs met. Our ten month old was challenging and as new parents, we were anxious about leaving our baby. The staff at the nursery put our minds at ease and fully supported this transition. Our daughter attended Fun Foundations for two and a half years, met all the pre-school milestones and thrived in all areas. Four years later, it was an

Both my daughters have had a wonderful time at Fun Foundations, and from my own (and their) experience I see no reason to recognise the negative comments from other reviewers.
Amy is great, the staff are helpful, and the wrap-around care going through to Y-Bont-Faen primary works well.
The site in North Road is one of a very few places in Cowbridge where you could consider a viable Nursery, as it offers half-decent parking.
In addition, the food is good, the hygiene standards excellent, and the toys are frankly no more scuzzy than any nursery I've ever seen.

I don't have enough superlatives to describe this amazing nursery! We have been using Fun Foundations for almost 6 years now for both of our daughters, and the care they receive is second to none, both when they are babies and toddlers as well as in the after school and holiday clubs. Each and every staff member cares so much about the children that they look after and treats them almost as their own, it feels like one big family. My daughters absolutely love going there every day, have made some amazing friends there and have also had an incredible start to their education, since the nursery provides

Both my children have attended and both have loved their time here. My daughter currently attends (from 8 months old) and absolutely loves her nursery days. Such a wide variety on the activities they do which can be seen via their app and the meals are home cooked and second to none. It's been lovely to see how much this nursery has grown and thrived from its early days when my son attended 7 years ago. Would not even consider another nursery.
