Our two settings are located within the Heath area of Cardiff. They are both within a short distance to the University Hospital of Wales, Birchgrove primary school and Ton-Yr-Ywen primary school. Our settings are conveniently accessible to main link roads and public transport. We offer private parking facilities and a pram park for drop off and collection.
We understand that your choice of childcare is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Our team's primary aim is to create a warm, safe and caring environment in which each child will develop to their full potential through praise and encouragement, sensitivity and mutual respect.

Services
At Sweet Pea we believe the welfare of every child is paramount. It is the objective at Sweet Pea to provide the highest standards of care and education for all the children. Sweet Pea aims to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment which the children will find stimulating and challenging and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning.
In 2015 the nursery achieved "The Equality Count" accreditation. This award recognises settings that are dedicated to providing high quality childcare. Our building is purpose built and has been designed to offer an open plan feel throughout with plenty of natural light. The nursery is registered with CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) to care for 44 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and is split into four separate area.
The building is a converted house within a large semi detached property offering a warm and homely environment. Our nursery has onsite parking, secure garden facilities and extensive playing fields nearby. Due to being in a close proximity to Ton-Yr-Ywen Primary School we are able to offer an afternoon wrap around service to the onsite Nursery unit.
At Sweet Pea all children are treated as individuals and cared for in small groups according to their age and stage of development. Our main focus is to provide children with a high level of stimulating activities that enhance learning through play whilst focusing on the key principles of the Foundation Phase.
Children's diet is very important to us and we have had input from dieticians on children's requirements. The meals are carefully balanced and cooked fresh daily on the premises. We offer children five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Breakfast, lunch a light afternoon snack and tea are served throughout the day.
