We want to give all children an inspiring start in life. With our background in early-years education, we want to help children to learn through play. We use a Froebelian approach to childcare to make sure that every child gets the most out of their time in nursery. A spacious, custom-designed nursery which has been fully rebuilt and refitted to spec in 2018.
I have over 13 years' experience of working with families and children in various childcare settings throughout Cardiff. Helping families has always been my passion. Before opening Little Haven, my focus was on public sector childcare with the Welsh Government's Flying Start scheme. At our peak, we ran as many as six Flying Start centres helping children across Cardiff get the best possible start in life.
When finding a nursery for your child, we recommend choosing one which supports and enhances the values and learning methods you use at home. It's not just a prologue to the more important business of being a grown-up. It's an important, integral and stand-alone time in any person's life.

Every day Alexis loves waking up to go to nursery and she always comes out of nursery with a big smile. Grace has grown so much since starting in November. She has lots of confidence and engages with children her own age well. She talks about her friends and staff at home and is always excited to come to her session.
Little Haven is not a Flying Start centre, but we have work closely with Flying Start in our other settings and their high standards continue to inform our practice. We have signed up to the 30 hour childcare offer in Cardiff. All children from the term after their third birthday will be eligible for 17.5 hours funded wrap around care and 30 hours in the 9 weeks of the holidays at our nursery.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the team at Little Haven Nursery. I could not have wished for anything more. You truly go above and beyond and the care and love that Arlo has received over the last 3 years has been outstanding. You made my return to work from maternity leave so easy and gave me complete peace of mind that Arlo was in great care. Arlo has loved his time at Little Haven, loved his friends and experiences and not to mention the food 😆 and I cannot thank you all enough.

Our son had attended Little Haven nursery for a year and we all love it! The staff are very friendly and energetic and the facilities are fantastic- very clean, well-kept and varied. Our son has learnt so much since attending Little Haven. We love getting updates through the day and have always found the management approachable and professional.

Awful, slow communication (unless they want something). Several emails and calls ignored and when you do speak to them they are generally rude with a arogant attitude.
I am not sure what the care is like, however, its worth being warned that they are not good to communicate with which I feel is important when your buying a service.

We can't recommend Little Haven enough. Since the first day they have been so supportive and caring to our 3 year old daughter; ensuring she is safe and having fun.
We get lovely photo updates during the day so we feel involved with what our daughter is enjoying.
Everyone is brilliant in the team and all take an interest in each of us.
Our thoughts and suggestions are taken into consideration; we have all been welcomed into the Little Haven family - thank you!
