Our cottages: The Lodge, The Stable, The Barn and The Dairy are four converted buildings within the one acre gardens of our traditional 19th century farmhouse, each of which has its' own individual style and charm.

Holiday accommodation that provides a superior level of comfort and facilities that you can be sure will enable you to relax, unwind and enjoy the wonderful opportunities that a holiday in the tranquillity of the Southern Broads can offer.
Services
Having moved around the country due to work over the past 30 years and offspring have flown the nest, we felt it was time to return to Ian's home county in 2010, and a quieter pace of life. We spent months travelling throughout Norfolk searching for the perfect place, but nothing was quite right; until we arrived at Oxnead House.
Rockland St Mary itself is located approximate 7 miles south of Norwich with good road connection to the surrounding area. Although quiet and laid back, it is very popular with walkers, birdwatchers*, fishermen, boaters and visitors who simply want to get away from the crowds. The relatively undiscovered Rockland Broad hosts a wide variety of migrating birds as well as year round residents such as marsh harriers, barn owls, herons and waterfowl.
Here at Oxnead House we are privileged to be positioned close enough to the Suffolk border and with easy access to Norwich's southern bypass that a surprisingly large number of the main tourist attractions of both counties are within an hour's drive. Stately homes and gardens, churches, abbeys and cathedrals, castles and forts.
Approaching Norwich from the A11, take the 5th exit at the Thickthorn Roundabout onto the A47 to Great Yarmouth. Oxnead house Holiday Cottages are located on the left hand side immediately after Green Lane, and before the pub and Staithe. There is a sharp turning into the property, so caution should be taken.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely consider returning in the future. We stayed at The Lodge but I understand that all the cottages offer similar standards. The facilities on offer are excellent and provide comfort and practicality, everything one should need for a relaxing break. The owners are very friendly and on hand to assist but they are also respectful of your privacy. The rates charged are fair and competitive. I would recommend these cottages to people who appreciate the home from home feel offered by high-quality holiday accommodations. Dogs are allowed in two of the
