Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Your patience would be appreciated, the additional work involved in table service only & santizing everything after each customer slows us down a bit! We're also a little under-staffed (like everywhere in Hospitality at the moment). We would appreciate if all customers read & comply with the instructions on the signage posted throughout the premises.
We would just like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support & patience during this difficult period. The Cottage Inn is a few minutes from the spectacular Northumberland heritage coast an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). A short 10 minute walk will take you to Craster and then onto the magnificent ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.

We are lucky here in Northumberland. Not only do we have the unspoilt countryside but also the coastline, sheltered behind the Cheviot Hills. There are a host of interesting things to do and see such as. Walking - The ideal base for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside. There is some wonderful walking in the area.

We found this little gem of a hotel when we were staying in Craster from 30/10/21, and what a fabulous place the Cottage Inn is.
Our first meal was Steak and Ale Pie, it was absolutely amazing, full to the brim with huge chunks of beef and the gravy was to die for.
We also had the Sunday lunch and that was so delicious and plenty of everything and piping hot, and that includes the huge plate of Scampi and homemade chips we also had on another night, the Fish and chips my partner had the fish was huge and cooked to perfection.
The service from bar staff to the waiting staff was 110% as was the

A hidden gem! Had visited Craster which had queues at all the eating places and decided not to wait. We had passed the Cottage Inn several times and this time we stopped and the four of us( and one dog) had lunch there. Fantastic! Food was excellent, good service and reasonably priced. We will not pass again!

I took my wife, son and sister in law here for a meal on Friday the 8th of October. The food was fantastic, I had potato skins and the others had kipper pate to start, my son and I had Ribeye steaks and the ladies had the fish mornay. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We will be back. Keep up the great work

My wife and I along with my in-laws visited the Cottage Inn today(26th of September 2021). The drinks , a pint of John Smiths, a soda & lime and coffees were reasonably priced. We ordered our food which arrived quite quickly. My father in-law had to send his soup back as it was “ stone cold” but this wasn’t a problem for the waitress, she took it away & brought it back piping hot. I had the fish & chips(£10) and it was the size of a whale, beautifully cooked batter, not thick & rubbery but light & golden & the fish was perfect, moist and flaky not like the dried- up solid blocks of unidentifiable
