Cosy venue , interior is quite old fasioned but it has a charm about it. The staff were polite and service is excellent.
The pictures are quite unique victorian and slightly spooky . The pictures hang almost suspended in mid air because of the tree in the background yes quite ghostly .Good for Halloween. FULL MARKS.

Used to have great food before lockdown first time going since then. Only doing burgers, but they were very good. Unfortunately they are not selling ale which was a surprise. Had a nice wine instead. Staff very good, safe distancing well observed. Would recommend if you are not bothered about having ale.

Love this restaurant/ cafe. The food is absolutely delicious! You can get your English breakfast but also pancakes, smashed 🥑 with perfect poached eggs with or without bacon, smoothies etc....They have a wc just out the back door which is very clean and warm. Staff are also friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Genuinely disappointed. Ordered two burgers with additional toppings, a fishfinger sandwich with no tartar sauce and halloumi fries. The burgers came with no additional toppings, and we had confirmed my wife… had an egg allergy yet the bun was a brioche instead of the advertised wholemeal. Potentially fatal for her. Burgers sent back and no sign of them again for over 25 minutes. Halloumi fries were fine but the sandwich had tartar sauce in it. 0/3 meals correct is astonishing. In the end we paid for 1 pint, 2 OJ & lemonades, a sandwich and some halloumi for the best bit of £30

The worst. terrible and slow service. it's sometimes as if they've forgotten they serve food and run out of stock constantly. i don't think i've ever come away satisfied. and now i hear they're increasing… prices for room hire and making it unfeasible for the small businesses that run their classes there. the turnover of management has been ridiculous and it looks like the new manager needs to 'prove himself'. won't be frequenting again, and ditto for the sister pubs.
