Brook House Nursery
Brook House Nursery was opened in 1991 and is situated in a large family house with a purpose built extension. Our learning ethos is child centered and overall our aim is to build children's confidence and encourage them to develop skills and creativity by experimentation. With increased confidence, children are able to tackle new experiences and ask questions without fear of judgment.

We feel this provides them with personal strengths which will be valuable not only when they begin Primary school but also as a continuing life skill. Their development is improved by providing them with a wide range of experiences and media. Children are able to explore things which are important to themselves.
Services
All rooms in our nursery are equipped with a range of stimulating and exciting toys and equipment, which help the children to develop their skills. Each room in our nursery has access to a shared garden and the preschool room has an additional garden for the older children exclusively. Children are encouraged to play outside each day.
The aim of our curriculum is to equip children with the skills and knowledge they need to explore and understand the world around them. We believe that children grown and develop when thry have access to a well thought out learning environment, engaged adults, and the freedom to play, experiment, question, observe and discuss.
Our fully-qualified dance teacher, Rachel, takes children over two [at no extra cost] for a dancing lesson on Monday mornings. The children are divided into two groups. Younger children's lessons are geared towards enjoyment and fun, whilst the emphasis for the older children is on rhythm, imagination and learning to work within a group.
Please bring your children dressed in their favourite, most colorful, Pj's to enjoy a day of fun, raising money for Crackerjacks Children's Trust. A 'spook'tacular day! Filled with Halloween themed arts and crafts, pumpkin carving and a special 'scare'alicious menu. Don't forget to bring your children dressed in their best costume!

I can’t rate this place highly enough. Our daughter went here from 10 months and we couldn’t have found a more complete nursery. Our daughters development over the years was strengthened by the amazing care and attention by all at Brook House Nursery. The facilities are amazing and all the staff are experienced and super friendly. It was like leaving a friend on our daughters last day. A special mention to Sue, Sophie and Dominika.

Such a lovely nursery! Our little boy attended from age 9 months for just over two years and only stopped attending due to us moving away from the area. The staff here are excellent; extremely caring, brilliant with children, fun and knowledgable. Great size - not too big so has a very friendly feel which is great for both children and parents. The nursery benefits from a fabulous garden and regular visits to the allotment. Can’t recommend this nursery enough and just sorry we can no longer send our boy here!

Best... Nursery.. EVER!
Our Son went here from 9 months and is now 3 years old. He LOVES this place. In fact it was often quite difficult to get him to leave at the end of the day.
The facilities are excellent and the staff are the jewel in this crown.

This is a wonderful nursery! The setting is homely and the staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and very caring. My daughter was in the Pre-school room for 18 months and has been given all the tools she needs to start school with ease. I am often amazed by the wonderful artwork she brings home and she loves all the special activities such as ballet, music lessons and visiting the nursery's allotment. The staff have always been quick to react to any concern I have and produce a monthly newsletter to keep parents up to date with future plans. They do everything they can to inspire the children, e.g
