Services
Clarendon House is a small animal practice based in Galleywood, Chelmsford with a second branch surgery situated in Heybridge, Maldon. Both sites are accredited by the RCVS which means that we are regularly inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. For you, this means that you know that you will receive the very best possible care.
Here at Clarendon House Veterinary Group, we're very proud to have so many and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practices. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making our practices special for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgeries we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call your usual surgery on 01245 353741 or 01245 267954 (Galleywood) or 01621 850124 (Heybridge) and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact Vets Now on 01376 386744.

Very expensive. I have 2 cats protection moggy adoptions and they wanted £76.50 to vaccinate each cat (It's £50 at vets4pets). Last year it was £63.84 per cat, that's a 20% increase. They were nice, but feel the massive price rise is unfair. They kept mentioning pets club but that's really expensive. If they needed treatment under insurance would consider them.

My dog became unwell very quickly
Clarendon house team was fantastic
Got an appointment immediately
The vet was brilliant checked him over throughly even when my boy was restless and fidgeting.
He had to have emergency surgery the vet explained everything clearly
Kept us updated during the day
Reception staff are just as caring and supportive as the vet.
When my boy had to be taken for over night care
Again the nurse and receptionist made sure we knew where to go and what would happen.
Once we got there.
I can't thank all of you enough.
It's good to know my boy couldn't be safer hands

Not sure why we still have to stand in the car park for a consultation. I like to stay with my dog while they examine her and she doesn't really want to go with them. Luckily she is well behaved. Woe behold the more anxious dog with fear aggression issues 😳 that are heighten by being separated from their owner! I onky changed vets as mine has retired from another practise I use to travel to in Colchester as he was an excellent vet. Not sure I will be staying here.
