Our friendly staff, professional approach and comprehensive range of services and facilities attract clients from Chelmsford, Colchester, London & Essex who are looking for a vet they can trust. Our veterinary surgeons have a wealth of experience between them and are supported by a dedicated team of veterinary nurses, trainees and ancillary staff.
We offer a convenient plan for all sizes of dogs, cats and rabbits that includes yearly vaccinations and twice yearly consultations as well as a years supply of the best worming and flea treatments. Also included in the plan are big disounts on microchips, PETS passports, food, accessories, dental procedures, other vaccination as well as nurse clinics and much more!
Our surgery is equipped with the best anaesthetic and monitoring equipment for surgical procedures. We carry out routine neutering, dental procedures and both minor and complex soft tissue surgery.
The Practice also has a special interest in all areas of canine pet fertility offering services such as artificial insemination, transcervical insemination and progesterone testing and our surgeons are extremely skilled in caesarean sections, allowing our clients to rest assured that their bitches are in the best possible hands.

The practice has vets with local veterinary inspector training to allow us to export pets on the PETS travel scheme. If you are interested in taking your pet abroad please phone us for details of the scheme. For you to be able to take your pet abroad and bring it back into the UK it will have to comply with the Pet Travel Scheme.
Our practice has a fully equipped laboratory with the most up to date instruments for measuring biochemistry, haematology and blood electrolytes. These tests are run in house and give the veterinary surgeon a full set of blood results in about 10 minutes. We can assess a patient's fitness for a general anaesthetic with a pre anaesthetic blood test as well as diagnose complex illnesses in our sick patients.

Saw me and my dog as an emergancy today, the clinic is clean and tidy and your put at ease as soon as you walk in the door. Everyone was super helpful and answered all the questions I had, was very busy but they didn't rush me or anyone else, will definitely recommend too people in the future. Thankyou

Essex vets was recommended to me by a friend. I had a French bulldog that needed a c-section. Staff was friendly and they make you feel welcome and really care about your pet. The c-section operation was quick and they talk you through everything and makes you feel important to them specially your pet. Recommend practice.

What a fantastic vets having to travel a distance as no other vet would see my dog and being turned away when she was in labour.
This vet thankfully saw her straight away and done an emergency c-section.
I want to thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart for the care and attention you gave my dog and her pups yesterday ♥️
I can't even thank the surgeon and staff enough for the professional, understanding and the support that they have given for honey & her pups ❤️
I have never been to such a caring practice.
I would definitely recommend you.

Best vet by far!!! Not to mention the posters they have which talks about various things such as before you walk your dog REMEMBER to touch the floor to check the heat and if it’s not hot for your dogs feet to get hot. Staff are nice . The Spanish lady that works there is so kind and asks if your ok and if you need support .

I called with late notice for a c-section for my dog and was booked in for the exact date I wanted. Amazing service everything was a 10 star service. I was offered to watch the surgery on a monitor in my car which was great. Everybody is super lovely and I was offered support throughout. A super affordable vet. I drove from London twice to this vet and it is 100% worth the journey and I’ll definitely be returning again. Thank you Essex vets
