Mennabroom Farm
Mennabroom is a small farmstead dating from the 13th century, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled on the southern slopes of Bodmin Moor in South East Cornwall. Surrounded by the ancient and unspoiled moorland landscape, Mennabroom is set in a beautiful sheltered wooded valley and is only 30 minutes from both north and south coasts.

It is situated midway between the A38 and A30, and is the perfect base for touring both Cornwall and Devon, or for simply enjoying the peace and beauty of the countryside. It is designated as one of a few International Dark Sky Landscape areas, with the quality of the night sky judged to be among the best in the world.
Services
Our three holiday cottages have been converted from a substantial range of traditional stone outbuildings. The barns are Grade II listed and date back to the 17th century. They have been sympathetically converted and offer modern comforts within traditional surroundings. Visitors are free to walk and explore the 15 acres of fields and broad-leaved ancient woodland which is intersected by the River Dewey.
Mennabroom is an early medieval cross passage Grade II listed farmhouse. It dates back to the 13th Century and is believed to be the oldest inhabited dwelling on the moor. We offer peace, tranquillity and Aga-cooked breakfasts using home or local produce. We offer additional bedrooms in our courtyard cottage, The Byre, for visitors who require more space, privacy and the luxury of breakfast in their cottage or in the farmhouse.
Set in a beautiful wooded valley and only 30 minutes from both north and south coasts, and situated close to both A38 and A30, Mennabroom is the perfect base for touring both Cornwall and Devon, or for simply enjoying the peace and beauty of the countryside. This is our charming local village 2.5 miles away.

Lovely spot to have a break. Stayed in the Byre.
Nicely appointed cottages.
Dog friendly. Deborah and Ian made us feel welcome.
Cream tea waiting on our arrival. Try the honey from Colin's bees. A little pricey, but worth it. Will be back when we visit relatives in the area.

We stayed at the B&B room which was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast was amazing! It was easy to find the farm with Google maps. The phone reception is not great because it's a rural location, but it wasn't an issue for us. WiFi was working fine for normal browsing.

Cannot fault this place for a stay - from arrival to leaving, had a perfect B&B experience. Right in the heart of rural Cornwall, with a fantastic room, which was spotless. Beds were comfy, the breakfast in the morning was most certainly worth writing home about. Ian & Deborah were so warm & friendly and made our stay extra special. The B&B is a good location for getting around too, we were able to visit lots of places in Cornwall from there.

Really enjoyed our stay there. Lovely hearty breakfast with a wide range of choices - from fruit salad, homemade yogurt and bread to perfectly cooked full cornish breakfast. Great location (by A30) and got some great tips on exploring Cornwall. Room is clean and have everything we need (including the amazing fresh bakes :p). Thank you!

This was our first trip after a baby and with the dog and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place. The farm is beautiful, cottages very well maintained and have all amenities for comfortable stay. The hosts took care of all requirements for the baby and our dog! All four of us were super happy with the stay. Looking forward to be back.
