Services
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the statutory framework we follow to guide us in meeting our children's needs by ensuring that they are well educated and cared for, resulting in better outcomes for children, which is our ultimate aim. The EYFS was introduced in 2008 and has been since updated.
Offers a maximum of 11 places for babies and toddlers up to the age of 2 years. Each young child will flourish from within the realms of a secure Key Person relationship, in a secure and stimulating environment. The legal ratio for all children under the age of 2 is 1 adult to a maximum of 3 children (1:3).
All of our meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site by our Nursery Cook. Children attending for a full day will be offered breakfast, lunch & dessert and then Tea in the afternoon. Children attending for half days will receive either breakfast and lunch or Tea, depending on the session. Breakfast: Served between 8-8:50am.
I am a qualified Early Years teacher with Early Years Professional status who has over 22 years of experience in working with young children. When I left teaching to open the nursery in 2003, my vision was simple and very clear - to provide a warm, caring and secure environment for children where they could learn, grow and above all have fun every day, offering a 'home from home' atmosphere for all children.
To provide a rich and balanced curriculum, where children will learn through their play in a happy, secure, well-planned environment with child initiated and adult led activities both indoors and outdoors. To involve parents as partners working and talking positively together to provide the best opportunities for children to become confident and successful learners.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since the toddler room. It has been an incredible journey. Everyday she wakes up and the first thing she asks me, is if she is going to nursery and her face lights up when I say yes. She loves the staff, her keyworker, the other kids and the overall setting. She enjoys all the activities and has so much fun while learning.
The staff are our biggest support and have gone above and beyond with my daughter’s speech development, toilet training as well as get her ready to learn to attend school this September.

We moved away from the area but we're still sad we had to move nursery as a result. Our daughter was cared so well for by everyone, and she still mentions the staff by name. The staff/parent communication is excellent, and made this nursery a home from home. Well done to Ruby and all of her team, we always knew our daughter was so well cared for every day.

I would highly recommend Valentines Nursery. All three of my children have been very fortunate to be in a friendly environment where safety and security is paramount. Individual care is given to each child and needs are catered for. My boys were always eager to go time and time again. The friendly, personal service and care for the kids is evident. The environment is well thought through and children are always offered the best activities to develop key skills I have not been able to do at home. I always questioned the staff who consistently were helpful and were always adapting to the needs of

€œMy daughter has been at Valentines Nursery since she was 14 months old, she was a shy and a reserved little girl and has grown up to be a confident and mature little madam. The staff show great interest and affection when we arrive each morning, this helps me to feel secure about my child’s welfare and that I am leaving her in their capable hands. They have given her the very best possible start and prepared her brilliantly for her transition to primary school.
I have been delighted with the care and education my daughter receives and it will be sad to say goodbye this year.

Our daughter has been going to Valentine's Nursery since 2014. We are so happy with how she has progressed from a little baby to a young lady with the help and support from all the staff at Valentines Nursery. The staff are very friendly, warming and loving towards our daughter, which has helped her settle in and enjoy her time at the nursery. We are extremely pleased with how advanced our daughter is compared to some other children her age, again this is with the education and support she receives from the nursery. We would really recommend this Nursery.

My daughter attended Valentine's nursery and from day 1, Ruby and her Staff have been trustworthy and shown great care toward our daughter. Ruby has been great in providing adhoc childcare when staff number allowed.
We were so lucky to find this nursery, our daughter absolutely loved it!
i would definitely recommend to any parents looking for a safe and fun place for their children to spend the day, whilst at work.

I highly recommend this nursery! My first daughter attended Valentines Nursery from 2012 to 2014, where she then moved on to Reception Year at primary school. My family moved away from the local Ilford area in 2013. However, we continued to send our first daughter to Valentines Nursery, as the support and development that this nursery provided was second to none. This fully prepared our daughter for life at primary school. In fact, she was one of the top performers in her primary school Reception Year and has continued to be a top performer in Year 1 and Year 2. We firmly believe that the reason

I cannot recommend this Nursery enough! My daughter started when she was 1. Since being at the Nursery she has become a lively, bubbly little girl with a great personality. She has developed so much confidence and this is all thanks to the staff at Valentines Nursery.
The Nursery is always clean and set out well for the children. It is also great to see that the children get a chance to make choices for themselves by being allowed to access toys independently.
My daughter has developed such a positive relationship with her key worker that she often asks to go to her even on the days that she
