The Lochailort Inn is a privately owned, small hotel & bar set amidst the stunning scenery of the West Coast of Scotland. Clean, comfortable accommodation, locally sourced, freshly made food and friendly staff will ensure that you have a most relaxing stay. Known to be open in the 1870s (and almost certainly much earlier as a drovers' inn), the Lochailort Inn was rebuilt in the 1990s and refurbished in 2011.

We feel it has kept its original character as a traditional Scottish Hotel as you would expect with all the modern amenities. We pride ourselves in offering personal attention in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, whether it is for a quick drink or two in passing, something good to eat, an evening's entertainment or an overnight stay in our newly decorated rooms.
Services
The Lochailort Inn is a small, friendly hotel with 11 bedrooms, so you can be assured that your individual needs are being met and we hope exceeded. A warm welcome awaits guests and the clean, fresh rooms offer a great space to relax and unwind after a hard day.

Further to our extensive refurbishment in 2017, each room offers double or single beds as required, high quality bed linen, en-suite bathrooms, central heating, tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV with DVD player and wireless broadband is available throughout the Inn (please note that due to the location the WiFi can be temperamental). All room rates are inclusive of our traditional Scottish cooked breakfast.
Whether sight-seeing, hill walking or exploring the Islands, the locally sourced menu and wide range of beers, ales, spirits and wines will perk you back up after an exhaustive day. We are lucky enough to have a rich natural larder right on the doorstep of the Lochailort Inn. We use as much local produce as possible, especially game and seafood.
All prices shown are inclusive of VAT. Please note: All cancellations or booking changes must be made by 12:00 noon, local time, 48 hours prior to arrival date. Otherwise, a penalty charge of one night will apply. The same applies to no-shows. Any material changes requested within the cancellation period are subject to approval by the general manager.
The Lochailort Inn stands alongside the original 'Road to the Isles', nowadays the A830 between Fort William and Mallaig. From the south, east or north of Scotland. Make your way to Fort William by the A82 - just north of Fort William, take the A830 signposted Mallaig. The Lochailort Inn is on the left in the small village of Lochailort, 25 miles (40km) west along the A830.
Lochailort is in one of the most rugged parts of the Scottish Highlands - the Gaelic name for it is 'An Garbh Criochan' which translates as the 'Rough Bounds'. The whole area, with its soaring mountains and complex coastlines, is glacial in origin and this has produced some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
