Used to visit Tonge duck pond quite often with family and particularly used to enjoy it with our eldest son, two years ago. We decided to visit it again to see how it had changed over time and was quite disappointed to discover that firstly there is no allocated parking anymore, secondly it is so overgrown now that you can't walk around the pond as you used to be able to. We did manage to feed some ducks and walk through the orchards/woodland which our children enjoyed however it is a shadow of its former glorfied self and that is a shame.

Wouldn't bother with this place. We tried to book a party for a weekend for next summer but for all intents and purposes they don't take bookings as there rooms are booked out for months at a time by business customers. Spoke to the owner who was quite dismissive and clearly not interested in what I had to say. Basically, if you're looking for a local place to stay then I wouldn't bother with this place as you won't be given the time of day unless you're looking to stay for half a year. Effectively they're doing short term lets in the guise of a B&B - misleading website and rude customer service
