Leconfield Primary School
I have been very fortunate to work at the school since beginning my teaching career and have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the unique characteristics of this wonderful school. At Leconfield we offer a creative, active and enriching curriculum in a warm and positive environment. We enable children to reach their potential and ensure that their experiences will prepare them for the future.

We believe that learning should be fun and we aim to give our children memorable and inspiring learning opportunities. It is important to us that we 'take the time to seek out children's talents and offer each of them life enriching and life enhancing experiences which have the potential to change their lives forever.' Ofsted 2013.
Services
The headteacher, staff and governors of this school have a common aim in the establishment of a stimulating place of learning, offering excellent opportunities to all pupils in a caring environment. To achieve this aim the headteacher, strongly supported by senior management, will lead the staff in developing whole school curriculum guidelines.
We follow the Statutory Framework from the Department for Education with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Personal, Social and Emotional Development, (making Relationships, Self-confidence and self awareness, Managing feelings and behaviour). The outside area is seen as an extension of the classroom and the above opportunities will be available outside as well as inside.
All schools are required by law to teach a broad and balanced curriculum which promotes the spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. Publicly funded schools are required to promote community cohesion. The Government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these values were reiterated in 2014.
Our school council allows the children who attend our school to express their ideas about school life. The council also provides a space where children can have the responsibility of representing the views and interests of others. Once a council meeting is over we will feed back to our fellow class children any information that they need to know.
Elaine is our SENDco, DSL and Year 5 teacher. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and has taught at Leconfield for a number of years. A former Primary School teacher, Sue was the manager of Leconfield Preschool for many years before she retired in 2009. Jon works as part of the specialist pollution team at ERYC. he is passionate about safeguarding the environment for future generations.
