Just off the busy High Street, The Bollo House is one of Chiswick's hidden gems. A family-friendly pub/restaurant with elegant dcor and an outside terrace makes us a great place to visit all year round. Our Head Chef lovingly brings our menus to life by creating pub classics and homemade bar snacks from scratch such as scotch egg, sausage roll, charter pie and Sunday roast, to name a few.
Our beer garden is comfortable all year round with shady covers and outdoor heaters for that great beer garden atmosphere. Join us in our dedicated dining room with full table service. Book yourself in and enjoy a three-course meal, indulge in a Sunday roast or treat yourself on date night and share a dessert.

Nice little place in the middle of town.
We got down at Acton Town Station wanting to sit at a pub but had to walk all the way to bollo House as it seemed like the closest place.
Walked past what looked like many industrial places, crossed a railway crossing(had to wait for the train to pass) and finally reached our destination.
It wasn't your noisy pub with loud music and drunk people screaming.
Had a few pints, some starters and ordered the wild boar sausage dish.

The Bollo has really gone for the gastropub experience with table service (and 12.5% service charge).
Unfortunately my experience of the Sunday roast was way below average given the high prices. Corn fed chicken was a really small portion, barely half a breast fillet and a tiny leg and was bone dry and chewy. The grandly described 'Ribeye' beef was grisly and fatty and also way overcooked. Vegetables were so so. Gravy rich and delicious though.
For this kind of price you really expect a knockout roast, but this was woefully below par. Bottom line, you can get a lot lot better in

I've had lunch at The Bollo a few times and it has always been a great experience. The food is delicious and definitely worth the money. Quite attentive but not at all intrusive staff. I usually eat outside but I find the atmosphere inside pleasant as well. I would recommend visiting this place especially if you're in the area.

This is a lovely pub to know about but as the other reviews have pointed out, it is a little pricey for its location. However, as this is touted as a 'pub to be found rather than stumble upon', it would seem a little strange to go out of your way to 'find' it and then complain about the prices.
The food is great, the welcome you receive is homely, the decor and atmosphere is comfortable and there is usually a good crowd of local people about, as well as those few people who have 'found' it.

The Bollo is a hop, skip and a jump from the Chiswick Park tube stop. Approximately three minutes of walking, and there it was, shining like a beacon after my long day of overseas travel.
I was starving, and without really thinking about it, I ordered the fish and chips. When the plate arrived, I was blown away. We're not talking a couple pieces of battered cod; we're talking an entire, flaky, gorgeous fish, golden brown and nesting on a pile of crispy fries. I tried valiantly to vanquish the thing, but to no avail. On a subsequent (and more healthy) outing, I had the pita and hummus

Bollo is my friends local. She seems to know everyone in there which is kinda nice and welcoming.
You can get a good deal if you get here before 7pm on Saturday otherwise I find this place a bit expensive food wise. It has a typical british pub menu with all the usuals and no real surprises.
The ales are pretty usual with Fullers and the usual pumped beers, again nothing special.
I can see why my friend likes it here though because it seems friendly and has a well local feel to it. It is off the beaten track so you get more locals in here and less passers by.

I have been here a few times for lunch, and it's pretty special. Perhaps the nicest, tidiest 'pub' I have ever been to, the decor puts most restaurants in Chiswick to shame. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, helped along by the friendly staff and great service.
Eating here is a great experience, mostly because when you are eating the good food on offer, it feels like you are discovering a little secret tucked in the backstreets of Chiswick (particularly due to the lack of customers). It must get busier in the evenings, and I am told the various entertainment (from live music to

It is a penguin, no it is a pineapple! It is indeed a pineapple the symbol of The Bollo.
What I love about this place is the fact that it is in a residential area, and when you go there you are bound to run into the locals, it's nice when you recognize someone and they recognize you and small talk begins. You kind of forget that you are in such a big city were people are usually anonymous.
There is only one thing I can say about the pork, mash and apple sauce: get it! The pork has its crackling bit that mixes well with the texture of the mash. It was my mum's birthday when we went
