Services
Lilian Faithfull Care is a charity and we are in care for the right reasons, not for profit, and through our 'Home for Life' pledge, we will never ask a resident to leave our homes for financial reasons. We were established in 1946 by our namesake, Lilian Faithfull and we have remained true to the founding principles of the charity; "a desire to improve the lives of others through care and dedication.".
Our namesake - Lilian Faithfull - was a formidable woman who created our charity in 1946. At the inaugural meeting of supporters she famously declared, "something must be done!" after seeing Cheltenham's population suffering in old age despite having given so much during the war years. This was especially true for widowed or single ladies retiring from teaching and nursing professions, who had to leave their work-related accommodation.
We pride ourselves on our compassionate and experienced teams, offering a friendly and supportive place to work in all our homes. We are a charity and we are in care for the right reasons, not for profit, and through our 'Home for Life' pledge, we will never ask a resident to leave our group for financial reasons.
To say it is a privilege to be the Patron of Lilian Faithfull Care would be to completely understate the huge pride I feel being a part of such an amazing charity. I have met with many members of staff and spent time with the extraordinary residents and had the opportunity to learn some of their stories.
Our Resident 'Remarkable Lives' story project is our way of highlighting that residents who choose to live with us were not "born old" and they have all, in some way, led remarkable lives and have amazing stories to tell. This project is another way of helping to ensure that all the staff at the home are aware of the residents' pasts and can use this to create a connection and friendship with those they look after.

Eager to take my father in… shipped him off after 2 weeks to another home miles away without family consent. Medically restrained him and isolated him from his family. My dad doesn’t have long on this earth. So upsetting that his health and mental state took a severe turn for the worse during his stay there.

Although i work for lilian faithfull care my self i would just like to say a few words, So I received a photo today, my granny Audrey spent a short time at my place of work but she deffo made her mark. Was… lovely of my work colleagues to do a toast in her honor today as it was her funeral and of course to use fruit shoots as this is all she drank along side a good cup of tea. I can not thank everybody at Royal court for there kindness and for the quality care she received in her short stay, means alot to me ❤ thank you to you all.

It was a pleasure to visit St Faith's in Cheltenham with our latest show 'Jivin' Jukebox'. The residents responded really well to the entertainment, and the staff were great at encouraging involvement from the… audience! Thank you very much for having us - we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
