A truly dedicated team provide 24-hour residential and respite care for up to 38 residents in a comfortable and caring environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and continue to make decisions about how they wish to live their lives. Watermoor House is small enough to offer that genuine homely atmosphere where each resident is treated as part of an extended family.

Services
The decision to move into a care home is one that prospective residents and their families find extremely difficult. We completely understand this and make every effort to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. We encourage prospective residents to join us for a short period as a respite resident to give them an opportunity to experience what life is like at Watermoor House.
This allows both the carers and the resident to relax, knowing that our staff are on hand to help with all aspects of their daily life, including personal care and medication. We find that many of our respite residents particularly benefit from the daily social interaction with staff and other residents, and from the daily programme of engaging activities which they may not experience when being cared for at home on their own.
Our kitchen team works hard to produce a range of freshly cooked, traditional dishes every day that are nutritious and balanced, with plenty of variety. Our meals are created using only the freshest ingredients and we pride ourselves on the high quality of meals we offer.
Residents can select from a daily choice of menus and we discuss dietary requirements and food preferences with all our residents to ensure their meal times are as enjoyable as possible.Residents may choose to dine in the spacious and attractive dining room which has small tables to encourage a family atmosphere or in the comfort of their own room.

Watermoor Houses knows that activities are central to excellent care. We offer a range of different types of activities that ensure there are options on offer suitable to all our residents, regardless of interests and ability. Activities provided within the home are free.
There is no obligation to join our activities but we do encourage our residents to be involved to increase their social interaction, mental stimulation and most importantly, their enjoyment.Our residents do make lasting friendships in our homes and enjoy a full and varied programme of activities.
