Welcome to our website, Longs have two locations in Bridport, one in West Street and one in King Street where you can eat in at our restaurant or outside tables or take away traditional fish and chip shop fare, we also make a varied specials menu that changes regularly. We serve a wide range of quality meat and fish dishes, we also sell pizzas, pies and wraps along with a selection of desserts and beverages at our restaurants in Bridport.

Locations Report

We have two locations in Bridport, both with an eat-in licensed restaurant as well as a take away. Opening times may vary during winter months, please phone us on 01308 423199 to confirm. With our modern licensed restaurant and outside Courtyard centre we have facilities to suit every individual including the young, senior citizens and the disabled.

We've had Longs F&C's for ever. I always order on phone so never had to wait more than moments. Lovely cod, batter and chips. A wally side order is a must too!

Quality fish & chips, although really surprised & disappointed by their customer service. We unfortunately felt very unwelcome in the shop, with one staff member as good as complaining about us to the other staff member in front of us. If we’d had other options, we would have gone somewhere else. They let themselves down really, which was a shame

Lovely traditional shop with a cosy and smart restaurant if you want to dine in. It was lovely that they had popped the heating on making it very comfortable as it is getting cooler outside.

We ordered our fish and chip supper from the counter in the shop and waited at the side for it to be prepared.
We didn't wait very long for the food to be ready.
The food was perfect when we got it home, fresh tasting and beautiful.
I hope to go back next time I'm in Bridport

Visited here with my young cousins to enjoy some chips and fish. It seemed quite expensive for the given portion sizes but I was happy to waive that aside given it was a day out treat.
We took the chips back to the caravan and got ready to tuck in. To be honest I was very disappointed. The chips were very stodgy and the fish poorly battered. This was in the middle of the day and it wasn't busy at all so it's not like they were rushed making them. To be honest I think the quality is inexcusable for the price.
If I were you, I'd avoid and go elsewhere

The fish was very nicely cooked and tasted great. The chips on the other hand were a disappointment. They were under cooked and soggy. The staff need to go on a customer relations course. Short tempered and mot very friendly. But saying that the shop was spotless and tidy. I will try to find another fish and chip shop next time.
