Booked in for a meal, party of 5, greeted at the door with what can only be described as gestapo trained servers wanting medical papers before proceeding! I will not and can not support medical apartheid and shame on you for enforcing such unfair policy! Will never be back covid pass needed or not

Three star for a three star Hotel. Stayed two nights with my wife. Room clean with great sea view. Unfortunately the Hotel has a problem with their plastic room keys. On arrival neither of the two keys provide would open the room door. Back to Reception who reset keys and apologised. After breakfast on the second morning the exact same think happened. Back to Reception to be told it sometimes happens because the plastic card has come in contact with something and that is why they give it is inside a cardboard card. Why then, if true was this not explained when we booked in and why not supplied

Delighted to get back up for a stay at The Marine!
Our room had a fabulous sea view, an unexpected bonus
Such a lovely cosy atmophere on the big sofas beside the Christmas trees in the coffee lounge, could have spent out whole weekend sitting there, so relaxing!

Stayed in Marine many times before new management takeover and always had good meal//stay. We were not staying but decided to treat our daughter to a nice lunch. Never again. Ordered lunch off main menu outside after a very long wait for service. Then told half an hour later that our order could no longer be served outside as a "function" was on and only 10 staff were working. Changed order to wraps and skinny chips to be presented after another half hour wait with wraps, still in their packaging on a saucer (looked liked they were from the local Spar) and no chips. Asked to speak to management

Stayed in an executive room (210). The view of the sea was amazing but the bathroom was very small and the room does not have facilities such as a mini bar or a safe.
The real problem was the noise. The room was too warm to sleep without the windows open; however, leaving them open meant that the noise from the bus stop right outside was horrendous. Each bus seems to sit here a long time with the engine running from about half six in the morning.
This is also clearly the main road through Ballycastle and every tractor, motorbike club and boy racer seems to come through here at all hours of the

This is a popular destination in Ballycastle and I can see why. The menu is enticing without being complicated. There's something for everyone!
I usually judge a place on a combination of food and service. I'm glad to say that the service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome. As for the food... delicious. The 4 of us all enjoyed what we had.
We dined here on a Saturday night. I'd recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
