Welsh Rarebits
So what makes a Welsh Rarebit? They're all different. Very different - everything from traditional country houses to cutting-edge boutique boltholes, luxury hotels to relaxing spas and historic inns, in fact. Mountains, mines and marine life. Rediscover yourself amongst the highest peaks, breathtaking rugged coastline and life affirming ziplines.

Mid Wales is an undiscovered gem, where the rolling countryside is dotted with patchwork fields, where the pace of life is slow. From the bright lights of the capital city to the rolling surf of the Gower and rugged Pembrokeshire, the South is 'beginner's Wales'. It's why we always include a photograph of the hosts at each property (how many other hotel guides do that?).

Exploring the local area through its food and drink is the perfect accompaniment to a stay in a Welsh Rarebits hotel. Wherever you are in this varied and beautiful country, let us take you on a tour to savour the best we have to offer in local delicatessens, farm shops, restaurants, farmers' markets and food festivals.
Adventure tourism - Thrill seekers look no further, get your adrenaline fix whilst flying through. Snowdon is the centrepiece of a huge national park that contains not just mountains but vales clothed in ancient oak woods, moorlands, lakes and a stunning coastline. For more seashore, head for the Llyn Peninsula or Isle of Anglesey, booth designated 'Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
