We had a lovely weekend. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff welcoming, helpful and good humoured. It was pleasant to meet other guests in the communal lounge but the sofa in our room was comfortable enough for us to use it as our private lounge. The room and the bed were comfortable and we were happy to spend time there. I have given the room only 4 stars because if I was being ultra picky I would say that the bathroom was a bit tired but it was clean and functional with a good shower and toiletries so perfectly OK.
The food was good and a lot of trouble seemed to have been taken to source

Jusy had a perfect two nights stay at Ty Mawr. The location is ideal to explore the local countryside and with such a warm welcome by the team we had a great relaxing time.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a homely feel around the Hotel.
We had breakfast and evening meals and everything we had was very well prepared, presented and tasted superb.
I can highly recommend staying with Pa and Mel and the team if you are looking for a friendly welcoming hotel with high standards.

Probably the most friendly and well presented small hotel I have ever stayed in.
Really pet friendly - our dog was given his own sausage in a dish!
Beautiful rooms - lovely and quiet, it's tucked away in the Brecfa forest. If you are looking for nightlife - forget it. If you want great food and a quiet relaxing short break with some forest walks, this is the place for you.

A lovely country hotel with dog friendly owners who made us feel welcome. The lovely garden was a treat for us all, especially our eight year old Labrador. The dinner, pre-booked, was so delicious it should be Michelin starred. Rooms were clean and the pillows and duvet so comfortable, even if the twin beds were narrow. We were so impressed we wanted to stay another night but unfortunately they were booked up. Thank you for a nice stay in a pretty area.

Excellent Hotel and food. Mel and Paul are superb hosts and make you feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and it all felt so normal and marvellous after all the recent rules and restrictions. Very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended.

This is one of those reviews where I question whether it is the right thing to produce because it will alert others to this wonderful establishment!!
We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night break which started with a warm, friendly and informative welcome. Our room was very well appointed overlooking the very, very quiet garden where the loudest noise was from the squirrel stealing the bird’s nuts!
We ate in the hotel on both nights, the menu is not extensive, because it is all home cooked, but there is still a good selection with options from all key groups. From the beef stew, salmon
