Situated in a picturesque area of the Wirral, overlooking the River Mersey, we provide a fine test of golf that won't leave you fatigued or your legs weary. Rated as Outstanding and in the Top 100 in the UK, we have a mature parkland course with plenty of natural hazards that will excite you, frustrate you, and if you keep your concentration, ultimately reward you.
Our greens in particular are well guarded so your iron play will be tested to the full. The par 3s are also tricky to negotiate and you will need to carefully consider the clubs you use from the tee on them. If all of that leaves you in need of a drink then the clubhouse has a great atmosphere to relax in, and the catering facilities offer a full range of snacks and meals.

Services
A testing start to the course with the left being favoured as ideal, but risk the wrath of the 3 fairway bunkers. A well-placed tee shot will provide the best angle to navigate the overhanging pine trees. A dogleg from right to left. A perfect tee shot would be far enough around the corner to allow a shot to the green, but run the risk of the silver birch and gorse copse if the tee shot is too straight or too far.
The Lodge is a warm and welcoming clubhouse with a big lounge, a dining room, and an upstairs room (with a bar!) that overlooks the Mersey and provides great views. Hot and Cold snacks, Sandwiches and Toasties - they're always available. Contact Darren in the office to see how we can help with you needs, be it a birthday, anniversary, celebration of life or whatever your special occasion.
The Lodge warmly welcomes societies of 8 or more with reduced green fees. Why not add to your day out and include breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Contact Matt on 0151 327 3003 (Option 1) to discuss choices, options and if you get lucky, maybe even further discounts. We plan well ahead, so we just need final numbers 7 days ahead of the big day.
There were so many complimentary comments towards the quality of the course and the catering. Carla and her team especially Helen and Neeta were brilliant at looking after us all throughout the day. I trust they were happy with the results of all the food preparation!. I just wanted to say a huge thank you from Lin and me to all the team there for helping us celebrate our birthdays in style.
Our club pro, Matt Blackhurst, has been at Eastham for over 20 years, man and boy. All the members think the world of him and nothing is ever to small for him to help out. Whilst he offers the best deals if some shiny new thing that will make all the difference to your game (and who doesn't) and has been the golfing backbone of the club for many years.

Friendly greeting in the Pro shop.
Sexist remark about my wife playing golf and not out doing the shopping by an old guy, probably a member, marking his card after coming off the 18th.
Tees require some work, quite a number of bare patches and the same can be said around the greens. Fairways and greens in reasonable condition.
One point worth noting is that the distant markers on a number of tees are not readable until you are on the tee itself.
A strange layout of the course is that the first tee and the 18 green are over 200 metres from the 19th hole, not good if you are a society wanting

Just been around the course with the new hole layout, and must say that it was excellent. Hopefully that will be the new Layout going forward as it does seem logisticly better. Only been playing for a few months since a few of us signed up for the PMG membership, and it seems a great place for playing golf. I just need to shoot below 100 now and I'll be happy.

There are better (and dearer) courses in the area but none as friendly or welcoming. Matt the pro, and his old man Paul, are top drawer. Any members you meet around the place are smashing and always engage you in conversation. If you are not a big hitter, can keep the ball in play and like decent greens then you can't go wrong here.
