Supporting pet owners to understand how to best care for their pet is the most important part of being a Vet. We have been established since 1967, when Angela and Richard Weston opened their first surgery- hence the name 'Anrich'. We are a true family run business in the heart of Wigan.
Over the years Richard Weston our clinical director and son James Weston business director have built a team of dedicated, friendly and highly qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses in order to best treat our patients. In 2016 we were lucky enough to be established as a referral centre; with our in house MRI and CT scanning facilities, in which vets all over the North West can refer to us.

Services
TWe offer a wide rang of veterinary services from preventative healthcare to orthopaedic surgery. We have a wealth of experience and a huge amount of facilities here at Anrich. We offer veterinary consultations at both our Wigan Hospital and Pemberton Branch by appointment only. Our consulting rooms are modern, spacious and our highly qualified veterinary surgeons offer expert advice, covering all of your pets needs.
All dogs and cats require to have their coats groomed to keep them in good condition. Long coats often require a lot of work. Our recommendation is, that unless you are showing your pet, you keep its coat short in a "pet trim". In some skin diseases the coats should be kept very short. A vet is always at hand to check your pet if you have any concerns you have and the problems will be discussed with you by the vet on discharge.

Our consulting rooms are modern, spacious and our highly qualified veterinary surgeons offer expert advice, covering all of your pets needs. We offer lenghty consultation times so that our veterinary surgeons are able to give thorough examinations and are able to answer all questions you may have.
We offer a range a surgical procedures from routine neuters to spinal surgery, available to both our clients or as a referral from surrounding veterinary practices. We work along with popular charities such as the Cats Protection and Dogs Trust for neutering at discounted pricing (you must contact the charity direct to see if you qualify for this).
We like to reduce stress for both yourself and your pet wherever possible, this is why we support and are a gold standard cat friendly practice. You'll find directions to our cat and dog waiting areas on your arrival. Our state of the art consultation rooms are spacious and welcoming, with brightly coloured walls and on screen technology.

I presented my dog, Hector, yesterday, 13th December 2021, he wasn't walking at all, with all 4 limbs practically numb. Adam, the vet who saw Hector, examined him and then called me to tell me he needed an MRI, what followed was an operation on his spine to remove a disc that had exploded.
In less than 24hrs, Hector was up on his legs again and walking, with little wobbles.
Just telling the team how incredible they are is not enough. From James's initial communication, which was emphatic and prompt, to Adams expertise fixing my beautiful boy, who I honestly thought I'd never see again, to the

The overflow system on their phoneline delayed us getting emergency treatment for our cat, They promised to contact the branch, they never did. We rang the wigan branch back ourselves and they had no idea about us. We first contacted them at 3pm, There were no emergency appointments available, we literally begged the staff to be seen, we were eventually given a 6pm appointment, our 2 year old cat died at 5:30pm. When we brought him in to be neutered I would have scored the staff very highly, but in our emergency there was just little empathy. I wouldn't ever return to this vets.

Amazing practise, didn't have to wait long to get an appointment. Very responsive answering the phone.
Loads of parking available. Big and roomy inside so you can easily manoeuvre other pets. Very clean. Staff friendly and professional. Toilet facilities very clean, smelling nice and extra touch by having wipes in there.
Definitely recommend.

We have had two French bull dogs for 7 years and by far this is the best vets practice I have ever been too. They were amazing to our French bulldog Elvis who have got him back on his road to recovery and we can’t thank them enough. We are now recommending every one to come to this vets.

I have been struggling to find a vets that I believe where actually interested in my dogs and their health, somewhere I could go and feel relaxed that they were getting the best treatment for their needs as they have had health issues that have been ongoing and they’re only young, I found that here, very reliable, friendly and nice people.

Had help from David today, first time is going to the vets with our gorgeous kitty Mimsy, he and everyone else was so welcoming and helped us, answered every question we had and all around was fantastic service! I would highly recommend and I do not think we would use any other vets. Thank you for your time today.
