We visited The New Inn whilst on holiday in Devon, and found the staff and owners to be lovely and friendly.
I have given 3 stars as there wasn't an awful lot of choice on the menu, with even dessert choices being limited.
We also encountered quite a few flies whilst eating at our table which obviously wasn't a pleasant experience whilst eating. Fully appreciate that the setting is within the countryside and that it was summer at the time, but the level of flies was very high, and having to keep trying to cover your food and drinks whilst then trying to get them out of the way was very frustrating

We visited for Sunday lunch. After being made to feel very welcome by the host. A lovely country pub restaurant with a nice selection of different meals and all the favourites as well. The skate wings on the fish menu were astounding which wouldn't have been out of place on a any top notch fish restaurant. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Definitely booking again even if it is long drive from Gosport.

Wow what can I say? All credit to the new owners of the New Inn. We just had a superb meal here. The place has been really freshened up. The menu is perfect size, not huge, but a great selection and something to suit every palate. We ended up having 3 courses just because it all looked so good. Hats off to the chef for beautifully cooked food. Atmosphere was great and the owners were very welcoming. Thoroughly recommend a visit here

Really lovely pub, in a beautiful setting. The beer garden looked clean and spacious, and the inside was very sweet, and cleaned regularly. Prompt service, we were never kept waiting, the waitresses were friendly and professional, they were working really well as a team. Food was exceptional for the price. Dare I say the best battered fish I've ever had?!? Delicious! The steak was delightful too, cooked just how I requested and melt in your mouth. Chips we're great on both of our meals! The owners are friendly too, and we're both there working alongside their team running the evening really well
