Tanglewood House B&B is an excellent bolt-hole for a great range of activities in Wester-Ross and Sutherland. There is a wealth of immensely satisfying walking to mountains like Ben Dearg, An Teallach, Suilvan, Ben Mor Coigach, Cul Mor, Ben Mor Assynt and a host of Munros and Corbetts.
There are a great number of natural wonders within easy reach, like the Corrieshalloch Gorge, Stac Polliadh, the Coigach and Scoraig peninsulas, the Summer Isles, the Old Man of Storr, the beaches at Guinard, Achmelvich and Achnahaird and the Northwest Highlands Geopark. Many of our guests are touring on their way north to Durness, Cape Wrath, Caithness and Orkney, or south toward Inverewe Gardens, Poolewe, Gairloch, Applecross, Plockton and Skye.

Services
All have views over the loch, comfy beds with crisply ironed sheets, good quality towels, cases of books, televisions, comfortable chairs, hairdryers, tea, coffee and shortbread. The lounge and grounds are available for our guests use and enjoyment, including our grand piano and rocky beach. There are libraries of maps, films and local information.
Two minutes drive out of Ullapool in the direction of Inverness with the loch on your right. It is the first right, 150 meters after the 'The Braes' turning. The drive is immediately after our blue sign, turn between the two white posts on the grass verge. When you have turned in at the drive, turn right over the cattle grid, left at the fork and you will see the house at the bottom of the hill.

Fabulous house right on the loch. The rooms are superb in both decor and cleanliness. Sitting room/ Dining room looks out onto the loch which is entertainment enough. Robert is a great host, too. Tea and coffee on arrival even though you can make your own. Breakfast cooked to your own choices with a great range on offer. Well worth a visit.
