Services
If your child is eligible to receive Two Year Old Funding we are able to admit them into the Nursery School for 15 hours per week to be taken either morning or afternoon sessions Monday - Friday starting the term after they turn two years of age. Two Year old funding is decided by the Local Authority and family circumstances must match specified criteria.
At Knowles Nursery School we concentrate very much on the important processes of learning and recognise that because children are unique they will learn at different times and at different rates. Early learning takes place in all areas of our nursery school and is shaped by the Prime and Specific areas of Learning and Development within the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS 2015).
Nursery School provides a very special foundation for the rest of a young child's education. Our children develop their confidence and self-esteem, acquire and practise a range of important skills, gain independence and become motivated and ready to learn. This happens through continuous opportunities for high quality play, first-hand experience, exploration and discovery.
The Saplings Children's Centre is attached to Knowles Nursery School and supports families living in Central Bletchley, Fenny Stratford, Denbigh, Brickfields, Little Brickfields, Bow Brickhill, Woburn Sands and Wavendon. Our Centre is a 'one stop shop' for all of our community which has a positive impact on the lives of individual young children and their families.
If your child is eligible for the Government funded Time for Two's 15 hours of free Early Education, your child can start with us the term after they have turned 2 years old. Once your child is attending the Nursery School, they can stay with us until they move on to Primary School.
We have 12 spaces for 2 year old children in both the morning and afternoon sessions and these places fill up quickly so we would advise you to get your child's name on our admissions list as soon as you can.Parents must check their child's eligibility by going onto an online portal, where once you have put in your details you will be informed if you can access the Time for Two's funding.

I couldn’t thank Knowles enough for being an amazing support to kaiden and giving him all the love and care he needed to start his education journey and help him to get where he is today if he didn’t have them he wouldn’t be where he is today thank you Steph thank you Natalie and all the staff for being amazing people It’s hard to be happy and… satisfied with a school or nursery when you have a special needs child and to hope they have the correct help and support they need and Knowles has helped me get the right support and the right help kaiden needs to go forward

My granddaughter attended Knowles Nursery while living under difficult circumstances. The staff went above and beyond to support both child and parent. It makes me sad that she leaves in July to start full time school as I know 100% she will not ever get the same loving caring support. The staff are amazing friendly and caring and I thank them all deeply for the support.

My eldest daughter attended Knowles nursery school, I looked at a few different ones but this was the only one that stood out. The space for the children is fantastic, the garden is beautiful with lots for the children to do. My daughter achieved so much with the help of the great teachers and staff. My youngest now attends here and I honestly couldn't fault them with a single thing. I would definitely recommend this nursery :) Well done Knowles👍

Knowles nursery are fantastic...2 of my children have attended there, the youngest only starting this year, the staff are easily approachable with a friendly attitude and very professional when it comes to talking to them about any problems or concerns you may have :) The nursery is built upon an 'extended family' basis...they really do feel like family Can't fault them 5 *'s all the way!

I was quite an anxious mum and knowing my daughter had a poor experience at a previous Nursery prior to this, I arrived on the first day with great uncertainty in my mind. My daughter though settled very quickly and clearly loved it. Staff were incredibly reassuring right from the start and clearly showed a keen interest in every childs progress… and development. It's got great well thought out outdoor space, lots of different learning areas inside and out and I can't complement the staff enough. They certainly know how to bring out the best in every child. Highly recommend.
