Regular vehicle servicing is important to ensure your car is always running as well as possible. If your car is fairly new it will need to be serviced regularly in order to ensure the warranty is still valid.
Car manufacturers usually recommend that air conditioning is recharged every two years. Car air conditioning is not checked as part of a standard MOT, and a normal car service will not check or re-gas your car aircon unless you request it. It is important to keep your car air conditioning in mind when considering vehicle maintenance.
It's usually fairly obvious if a gearbox is in need of some attention. There will be buzzing and clunking sounds, especially when you change gears. You may also find a tell-tale pool of liquid beneath your car which is a sure sign of trouble. Sometimes links and cables can become displaced which causes problems when changing gears.

I cannot recommend MOT City highly enough. Their service was 2nd to none. All of the staff were polite, friendly and extremely helpful. I hadn’t realised my MOT had run out and was panicking I would not be able to book one quickly. I contacted them at 10.00am and miraculously they were able to fit me in for the same day and not only that but my car was ready to collect by 1pm. I will definitely use them again and will recommend to anyone that asks. Well done MOT City and thank you.

Fantastic customer service. So friendly and went to length explaining what was wrong, and what needed to be fixed and even though they thought they might not be able to source a part quickly, if at all, they did and repaired it the next day. I will definitely use them again for my car mot and servicing in the future.

MOT City were fantastic! My car dealership garage had failed my MOT and were going to charge me an exorbitant amount and said it would take a week to make the repairs to pass the MOT. I phoned MOT City and they immediately offered to look at my car the next day for free, determined what the fault was and I booked it in for the works the following day at a 5th of the original cost, and it passed the MOT! My car was ready for me to pick up the same day too!

Once again MOT City has provided outstanding service. We've used them for many years, both in emergency situations (like this week) and for scheduled maintenance. Always felt like I've recieved excellent value for the money, both in the quality of the work and level of customer service. Having experienced other garages in the area (due to having to use my lease car company's preferred garages) MOT City stand miles above the rest.

I took my Ford Galaxy into MOT City with a underlying, undefined problem with the drive systems and they were excellent. They took the time to investigate the problem and discuss the issues and findings throughout the process, so I was able to understand the best course of action. Highly recommended for their professionalism and knowledge.

An advised of £80 cost to diagnose a power steering fault turned into a bill of over £200 without further notification - I since discovered a main dealer would charge £69 for complete diagnosis! It took them a week to actually diagnose the fault (and then couldn't actually give an absolutely definite answer to the problem). In addition they handed the car back to me with the outside air temperature gauge/readout malfunctioning and the battery on the vehicle failed three weeks later. The battery failing could possibly be a coincidence but given all other aspects of my experience with MOT
