After his years in the army, Thomas began using all the trade skills he had learnt. A trusted and organised man, with skills essential to funeral undertaking at that time, he began accepting requests to carry out funerals; but soon realised that a separate company was required for this work. Thomas's wife, Margaret, was similarly inspired by her mother Ethel Stuart Morris.

When a person dies, the practicalities of organising a funeral are not always people's main concern. Our instinct is often to spend time with and comfort our family, friends and loved ones, and writing out funeral checklists is not always your first priority. Whether by phone call or a visit in person, our staff at Harold Wood Funeral Services are available any time you need us.
Whatever kind of funeral you need, whether it be a cremation, a burial or an unattended service, Harold Wood Funeral Services can offer friendly advice with local knowledge and expertise from seven decades of dedication. Our priority is not only to ensure you receive a service that is suited to your needs, but to provide you with the same care and advice as for a friend.
