Leverton & Sons
Levertons funeral directors are here to help and guide you. With six branches in North London we have been independent funeral directors for over 230 years. We conduct funerals throughout London and beyond and can also help with repatriation to or from most countries in the world. Please be assured we'll always do what we can to help you through your own individual situation and give you impartial advice.

Within 5 days, you should register the person's death, usually at the Registry Office closest to the place of death. In the case of someone dying at home, or if you need to contact us for immediate assistance out of our office hours, please do call us. It is your choice as to what you have at a funeral.
Services
Our family have been funeral directors for eight generations. Throughout, Leverton and Sons provides comfort, support and professional guidance at every step of the way. From modest funerals on a budget, to high profile funeral processions, we are proud to deliver the same standard of care and service to every individual or family who comes to us.
It is important to us that we offer our clients what they want. Every funeral we fulfil is different and we are guided by the people who come to us. We believe that listening carefully to the bereaved and honouring the wishes of the person who has died is our most important function.

Our services can include everything you need from arranging the removal of the deceased, organising the ceremony, ordering the flowers, to the dispersal of ashes or just giving you advice at no obligation. We will help you with arranging your choice of funeral and listen to what you need.
When someone dies at home you should firstly call their Doctor (GP) who will attend and issue a medical certificate for the cause of death. The hospital bereavement will offer you emotional support & practical advice about what to do next. Once a medical certificate of death has been completed, you should register the person's death, usually at the Registry Office closest to the place of death.
Call their Doctor (GP) who will issue a Medical Certificate for the cause of death. If this a Locum or other Medical Practitioner who attends they will issue a Statement of Death. Please contact us on 020 7387 6075 so that we can bring the deceased into our care once the doctor has attended. If you would like the deceased to remain at home for a little while please advise us as soon as possible, and we will give you guidance on this.
When someone has died unexpectedly or the doctor is not certain of the cause of death, the case will often be referred to the Coroner's Office. It's still a good idea to contact your funeral director at an early stage. A provisional date can be booked for the funeral, we will also help with some arrangements and we will liaise with the Coroner's Office for you.

Levertons, and particularly Karthyn Isherwood, organised our dear friend, Mary Warden's funeral in an exemplary and sympathetic way. They are there to advise and help and nothing seems too much trouble. Everything was organised seamlessly, from the time she passed to the end of the service at the Crematorium. We are eternally gratefully for Levertons' professionalism and kindness; we can't imagine a better firm for any bereaved to put their trust in. David Pollard

I'm forever grateful for the service Leverton & Sons provided during such a difficult time.
In particular I'd really like to thank Craig Parker. He was available for all my questions throughout and despite most of the arrangements taking place via phone provided a thoughtful, patient and personal service.
Levertons provided such a great service that it was easy for me to lean on their recommendation for other services such as florists for ease.
Most importantly the service provided on the day by the whole team was faultless, and helped us give my mum the tribute she deserved.

Throughout the procedure of the funeral, Levertons acted with great professionalism and sensitivity. Kathryn Isherwood was most helpful and ensured that all requests were carried out and everything brought to a perfect conclusion. Overall, the process was made as straightforward and stress free as possible, for which we are most thankfull.

From the moment of first contact, everyone at Levertons was so kind, respectful, flexible, understanding and accommodating.
We wanted to follow Russian Orthodox traditions and they did everything possible to help me with my wishes.
They have a lovely Chapel of Rest in Camden and allowed me to decorate it with the flowers of my choice. They allowed mourners to come in within social distancing rules and made everyone feel welcome.
I contacted a few funeral directors, and am really so happy that I chose Levertons & Sons.
I will be forever grateful to everyone at the firm who made a very difficult

I was so impressed with the service that Leverton & Sons provided for my nan’s funeral. They handled the entire process with care and compassion and nothing was too much trouble.
Craig Parker was our Funeral Director and he was very helpful with explaining everything and responded to emails and queries very quickly. Even with the small things like making sure the music we wanted was the exact version, there was a real personal touch throughout.
He ensured everything at the funeral was exactly as I requested and sorted a wonderful priest. The flower tributes in the Hearst were arranged so beautifully
