We have stayed at this site at least twice a year for the past ten years. It is so quiet, clean and beautiful. We have stayed previously in Firs and Briar Bank. As Briar Bank is no longer available we stayed at Apple Tree lodge in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views are better than from Briar Bank. The lodge itself is so comfortable with everything you need. The only issue is the decking. It was so dirty and covered in cobwebs that my husband cleaned it himself. The outside furniture badly needs changing as the table set is shabby and the wicker furniture is uncomfortable due to having

Our first visit to Skiddaw view. Absolutely stunning scenery and so peaceful.
Site is very clean and cared for.
My only other comment is. The lodge that we are staying in (apple tree lodge) needs a bit of TLC looking a bit tired!!😔
New table and chairs would be nice. As these are a bit old!!. No gate on decking so had to use one of the outdoor sofas to block it off. Dog friendly places should have gates. Could be a bit cleaner as I felt I had to wipe down with antibacterial wipes and clean the toilet!! This is not the sites fault. Cleaners should clean properly. Hope it gets checked when

My partner and I always holiday with our two elderly mothers, who are in their 80s and 90s. We also have a springer spaniel. Consequently, we are always looking for accommodation (usually a lodge) with three bedrooms and that is also pet friendly. We typically take four 1-week holidays each year.
Given our requirements, we always make sure that… we book well in advance, even when we are looking at off-peak times of year. Cumbria, as my mother's native county, is a regular destination for our holidays and we usually spend two of our annual breaks there.

We have been to this site several times, we have stayed in a caravan once and in a lodge a few times, it is a peaceful and tranquil site if you want total peace this is the place, there is no clubhouse on this site and so is not so popular with families looking for entertainment and it is isolated and you need a car to get anywhere, it may not suit everyone because of this.

We are just completing our first holiday season at Skiddaw View. We bought a 2019 caravan in June, and just can’t keep away. The caravan is first class, excellent layout and with all the little extras that were… included such as, cushions, ornaments, a gorgeous blanket we were not disappointed. Fantastic views from the patio windows. The park is ultra tidy/clean and extremely well maintained. We must compliment you on the dog walk area, just behind us. The area is maintained with ‘nature’ in mind, the walk ways regularly mowed, with the other areas allowed to develop naturally
