After training and successfully qualifying as a driving instructor with the AA Driving School in 2010 and working with them for 3 years, I decided to set up my own independent driving school in the Edinburgh area. The idea was that I could have control over my own ideas and teaching methods, aiming to then hopefully create the best driving lessons possible.

Usually driving tests are set in the Edinburgh area. When delivering driving lessons I really aim to make it fun and professional, trying to get as much progression as we can out of each lesson.

Services
The cost of driving lessons in the UK varies depending on the area. Currently, in Edinburgh, the price range for driving lessons is between 28-38 per hour. A large franchise like RED, BSM, or Bill Plant usually charge a lot more money so would be at the higher end of the scale as a percentage of the money goes to the company so this has to be built into the cost.
On the day of your driving test in addition to the actual driving you will also be asked two questions about the car the "show me, tell me" questions. The first one before you start driving. The second question will be while you are driving that you will need to demonstrate. Explain that after pulling away you could test them.

Usually, after doing driving lessons in Edinburgh we would choose to sit your test in Edinburgh. We will do our best to have you prepared for the average situation and make sure that you are not nervous about driving on the day of your test.

Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor! After a negative experience with my first driving instructor 8 years ago I was quite nervous to start lessons again but Angus immediately put me at ease and helped to build up my confidence. I ended up really enjoying the lessons and felt very well prepared by the time it came to my test. I am so glad I chose Angus as a driving instructor. He is incredibly patient and adapted to how I learn really easily. The videos on his website are great for going over things before or after a lesson too. Being 34, I was nervous to get back to driving after stopping lessons when I was 17 but Angus was great at putting me at ease whilst still making the lessons challenging enough for me to keep improving.
